Its not just the pronunciation that makes the accent beautiful. The vocal cords plus your beauty and constant smiles on the face amplify the atractipn.

My mother tongue is Portuguese, I've been taught American English since I was a child and it was hard for me to try and speak with the British accent, but after I've started learning German, it felt more natural. I've noticed similarities in some aspects and sometimes it is easier to pronounce certain words with a British accent instead of the American one. Thanks for the video, it sure helps a lot!
What a master piece! Izzy I really love your videos, your voice is so calm and soft 🥺
I first saw your video by the one teaching modern RP, and since then, you became my role model!! I love your accent💕and thanks to you, my British accent has improved a lot! - I'll keep trying hard on it with your videos!
Thank you, Izzy! Coming from a north American accent and natively a SE Asian, I find it difficult to learn to change my voice placement. Listening to this and practicing those phrases led me to finding the right one *fingers crossed* ; now, my journey to consistency begins!
I am actually in love with your videos and especially the accent you have. In my personal experience, i can nail some of the vowels and consoants which are extremely imortant to get close to the British accent. Thank you darling for your work. I really appreciate that.
Gosh!!!! She's the most beautiful teacher I've ever seen in my whole life! She brights terrifically!
Awesome video Izzy. I’m not a native but with such videos I’m really getting better and excitingly learning the British accent . Thank you so much .
I've been watching a lot of content in British English, especially focusing on pronunciation. Among all others, you're the best so far. Many thanks.
Lord! Wonderful! The best I've watched so far. Thank you so much, Ms. Lizzy. Please, do keep making more videos. We love to watch you, and can enjoy watching you all dday. ❤️🌹👍
Yay! Another British prononciation video 🙂 Please keep them coming and have a good one!
I've never seen a modern rp accent youtuber talks this fast, wow. And it motivates me, thanks Izzy.
Just watching and listening to you just melts my heart 🥰 more please 🙏
You truly helped me a lot, all the answers I needed. ✨You explained it awesome
Oh boy, Izzy, you know what, I keep looking at all these English learning channels and the content is great. As a native British teacher, building my channel is daunting but I’m always inspired by great videos like this. ;)
Thanks so much Izzy for inspiring me. I am a not native but I’m hardly practicing through your videos and I’m thankful for that. Looking forward for more British pronunciation videos.

Woow 🫰💝
in brief: The video provides a comprehensive guide on how to nail a modern Received Pronunciation (RP) British accent, also known as Standard Southern British English (SSBE). The video is hosted by Izzy, a Cambridge graduate and doctor based in London, who stresses that her accent is just one among many variations of British accents. Izzy focuses on seven key pronunciation points using specific words to illustrate each. Here are the seven points and words that she elaborates on: 1. Long O sound: Demonstrated with the words 'hello' and 'open'. The emphasis is on the elongated O sound, which is considered a diphthong or a moving vowel where the mouth gradually closes down. 2. Long wide R sound: The word 'tomato' is used to illustrate this pronunciation, contrasting it with the American pronunciation. This sound is also found in words like 'grass', 'bath', 'father', and 'laugh'. 3. Non-Rhotic R sound: The word 'rather' is used to demonstrate this feature of RP, which is the absence of 'r' pronunciation at the end of words when not followed by a vowel. 4. Schwa sound: This common, neutral sounding vowel in British English is shown through words like 'doctor' and 'rather'. 5. Short Round O sound: Shown using the word 'honestly', which includes a silent 'h' and the round 'o' sound. 6. Curled Round O sound: The word 'water' is used to demonstrate this point. Izzy also emphasizes the importance of enunciating all 't's in RP English, unlike in American English where the 't' sometimes sounds like 'd'. She also mentions the absence of glottal stops in RP English. 7. Full T enunciation: The word 'daughter' is used to illustrate the full enunciation of 't's, as well as the curled round 'o' sound from the previous point. Izzy encourages viewers to practice these pronunciation points and suggests more content for viewers interested in refining their British accent. She acknowledges the diversity of British accents and focuses specifically on the modern RP accent for this guide.

Thank You for simple and clear content :) Have a great day
Good video, Izzy. I love how you explain and your British accent sounds cool♥️💘
What makes your videos so pleasant, is not only your lovely accent, but you! Your smile and your overall demeanor is so very pleasant that watching you is a real treat. Thanks for your suggestions although I'm afraid I'll never be able to lose my American accent (however a polite one). Being a non-native but having lived there for quite some time, it seems to be rooted in me and it doesn't want to leave, alas. You, on the other hand, could read the phone book and still sound pleasant😁
Just on time! I needed this
Thank you so much!! This is really useful and well done. thank you so much. your accent is the perfection for my ears!
Izzy, you're a great teacher. Love this video.

Oh Izzy! I literally LOVE your English, especially your pleasant & beautiful accent ❤ Love your accents & videos♥️✨ Keep making such informative videos✨ And, I'd request you to make more videos on British accent bcz I literally LOVE British accent!!❤
You can just tell this lady is well spoken & clever
Thanks so much Izzy! You helped a lot I really enjoyed it! ❤❤❤
I am just completely and utterly in love with listening to you.
Thank you for the beautiful explanation. Basically the "-er", "or" sound at the end of the words in British pronunciation (RP) is a soft "a" similar to the "-er" sound in german but in german is a hard "a". That is what sounds to me as a portuguese native speaker.
Oh my god Izzy, I can't believe it I didn't learned british accent in 9 months now with this video of yours I finally learned it. THANKS ALOT!!!
Love your pleasant accent. And a medical student of Cambridge. And can speak Mandarin. What a perfect person. Very appreciate u.
I like your smile. Love to hear the accent. I'm still learning English thanks for making more content

All have done evil “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23) The penalty for sin is hell (Revelation 21:8). Because of Gods love for us Jesus Christ came down from heaven to take the punishment for our sin on the cross in which he was spat on, beaten, mocked and laughed at. Christ died for the sins of the world and The third day God raised him from the dead (Praise God). This was done so that those who believe on Christ will not perish (hell) but have life everlasting (heaven); be justified by Gods grace through redemption in Christ (John 3:16) (Romans 3:24). The blood Jesus shed on the cross washes away our sin if we Believe in The Son of God and his finished work (ordained by God) on the cross. When this happens the believer receives the righteousness of Christ in place of their own unrighteousness (all sins are forgiven) and this makes them saved (going heaven) and they are born again as a Christian. (Romans 3:25-26)
Thank you Izzy, very nice video. Your accent is really great, a little too fast for me, but I'll manage anyway. And I'm definitely waiting for the next episode. Keep doing that. Regards.

Hi Izzy. Thank you very much. it helps me a lot.
Very great video! In school in Germany we just learned the American accent, because our teachers just can the American accent but I like the British accent much more.
Very nice and clear. Thank you 😊
Your accent is so sophisticated!
Thank you, beautiful teacher
A fun fact about me is that whenever I want to speak english in public I just watch one of your videos and the accent comes itself! LOL♡
I love British accent actually ❤ It sounds so good 😊
So good to listen your accent.
You're incredibly eloquent, did not expect to enjoy watching these so much! I could probably listen to you for hours; I'd love to see you doing a medicine related channel. 😁 But the term "RP" really bothers me, as it suggests this is the most prominent accent. Unless someone can give me hard evidence to suggest otherwise, I'll be very surprised if that's true. I've only met a dozen people in my life who speak RP. They're usually either retired or went to private school and/or came from a wealthy background. Most of us speak like total commoners. "Hey, s'up pal? 'Ow ya doin'?" 😂
I love watching your videos ❤️
Love the way u explain and ur voice is wow ❤️
You are the more Best teacher🎉❤
Thank you so much for this video 🙏
I enjoy language and observing accents.
Thanks 💞! Much love
OMG WTF?! I opened the video on my youtube recommended and was like "wait, she looks familiar". Nice to see you Izzy! I don't know if you remember me from NLCS, but I was in the year below you. I hope you're doing well!
More videos on this please ❤
Glad to see you again
I live in Cambridge, and I’m a Hong Konger that speak British English really bad, thank you for your video, it helped me a lot😊
A good tutorial again. Yet I am looking forward to seeing a British English tutorial focusing on a very important aspect of RP which is the "light staccato" rythme as opposed to the "glide up and down" in American English, certainly also very different from the heavy staccato Germany accent. Something worth considering in your next video?
