    I speak with Estuary English, which means it’s a mix of Received Pronunciation and Cockney, so I kinda often drop my Ts, sometimes Hs too. Last but not least, I sometimes replace words with THs with F and Vs, like THINK becomes FINK and WEATHER because WEVAH.

    My favourite English speakers are you both! And not because you make these awesome videos. I'm really fond of the way you both speak, especially the way you do it Sabrah. The way you move your lips and make sounds seems flowy, natural, simple, clear and elegant. It sounds beautiful or exquisite and so does Leila's way of speaking. Therefore I practise my RP accent imitating your pronunciation and such with your videos :)

    Aww Thanks so much Sabe for your kind reply and your amazing useful clarifications. In fact, ye, you made me realise that Joanna's voice has actually something rather 'sophisticated' indeed and quite poshy, that's right. She's a class act. Alan was such a fabulous and extraordinary actor indeed. As you mentioned it, I quickly went and focused on it more and wow, you're so right!... My impression is that his diction is fabulous. I'd say that his voice is a bit 'nasal' but clear and both very deep and smooth/soothing at the same time, would you agree? Kit is a very charismatic and talented actor. I know you're a big fan of GOT ;-) I also like his dry humour in his interviews. Nice voice! I'm so glad you share my likings on Emily 👌and Attenborough. 👍 I still disagree on the French 'English accent'. My gosh, I'm so ashamed when I hear my compatriots trying to speak English; regarding the accent, these lazy guys 'make resistance' 😂and decidedly make no efforts at all I have to complain! But well, I can understand that you feel it differently probably having the same adorable 'exotic' perception I have when I hear you guys speaking French ;-) Have a very good and sweet evening my lovely. Lots of Love, see ya soon 😍🙂🕊🌹 ❤️

    Hello. Your video was really nice to hear. I’ve only got one question which is that you pronounce the sound of a: as in bark or large like I have heard some people pronounce it (back in the throat ) but also others pronounce it in a different way with the jaw more dropped (like a long sound of the u in put or cut). Is this possible? Thank you and keep up the good work

    Hi Sabrah! Maybe my homework first: My favorite RP accent and voice is undoubtedly that of my university English teacher. Plain and simple, I'm addicted to it and you know, I'm not kidding at all, I'm very serious. I even happen to fall asleep with her at night (I mean her voice ;-) in the background at times... Some British voices I like with no particular order except perhaps for the first ones that instantly came to my mind, I'd say: Sabrah (my N.1), Johanna Lumley (would turn on the stoniest of men I guess), Adele, Kate Winslet, Carrey Mulligan, Emily Blunt, C.Z.J., Emma Watson, Maggie Smith, Helen Mirren, Keira knightley, K.S.Thomas., Kate Bush, Julie Andrews .... Except for my fave singers I'm less interested in the male voices ;-) but let's say : D. Gilmour, D.Attenborough, Stephen Fry, Nick Drake, Sting, Peter Gabriel, Brian May among some others ... Tell me a few of your own favorite male and female British voices as well please whatever the genre (music, cinema, TV presenters...) I would be so glad if you shared them with me :-) (even if I dunno them) I'll come back for more comments on the magnificent lesson, Sabe. 👌👍👍👍👍 Thanks so much for now. 👏 Bisous my belle 🥰🌹je t'🧡

    Wow you have chosen some great people here! Joanna Lumley has a marvellous accent but it is posher than mine I would say and slightly more classic RP. Emily Blunt has a lovely voice as well - it is Modern RP. I personally like Alan Rickman and David Attenborough of course a lot. Kit Harrington also has a very nice voice. But the French accent is much nicer than the British haha!

    @@lesleyhill8581 Hi Lesley. Yes I know, you're absolutely right! She was born in Tottenham (North London) and later lived in Brixton (south London area). Therefore her accent is more a 'general londoner' with many Cockney components (that you clearly hear especially in her earlier interviews and even in her Carpool Karaoke with James Corden that gave me quite a hard time when it was first released with no subtitle. I remember having to listen to it in 'slow motion' LOL and many times to be able to decipher the all thing and I could eventually achieve it 🙂). Overall, her accent is a kind of blend of Cockney and RP. Thanks so much Lesley. 😊👍

  • @lesleyhill8581

    @lesleyhill8581

    @@fabrice9252 well strictly speaking she doesn’t have a cockney accent as that is purely from the east end of London, but you’re right she has one of the many London accents. I lived there for many years and can spot a nice pure cockney accent a mile off, lol!🙂

Love, listening to her hidden in the leaflets, Came out and praised her, Mermaid of the lakes Her blond floating hair by him was garnished With hyacinth and myrtle braided in a wreath: "For thy voice," he said, "is sweet to my ears, As Joe-pye weed is to the honeyed bees." My favourite RP speaker? If I were British I wouldn't vote for him; I share none of his political and social views, but I find fascinating his pronunciation: he is Mr...J.W. Rees-Mogg.

    Its funny I go in and out of using the 't' and dropping the 't'. Like if I'm asking someone for water I say "can I have some wa-er, please?", but if I'm asking someone if they want water, I say " would you like some wa-ter?" I suppose you can have an RP accent and be more casual at the same time, depends on your setting and if there's actually a need to speak clearly. I'm a Brummie not a Londoner.

    hi! Here is my last writing. Try guys to tell it with the MRP accent. Good luck to all. Plea To Be Buried At The Beach of Sète The Grim Reaper who never me absolved For sowing flowers in the holes of his nose, Pursues me with a foolish zeal. So, all surrounded closely by funerals, I quickly saw fit to update my will To invest in a codicil Soak in the blue ink of the Gulf of Lion, Ô dip, dip your quill, Ô my old tabellion, And from your finest handwriting, Here is what it should betide of my body Now when my poor soul and him no more agree Only on one point: the breaching When my soul will take flight on the horizon To those of Janis, of Hendrix, of Bon That of Drake and of Stevie Vaughan May my corpse be brought back to the native soil "Paris-Méditerannée" sleeping car, Terminal at the Sète station. My family vault, alas! is not 'new branding' Vulgarly speaking, it is full to bursting And From here that someone is out It might be quite late and I just can't say, Tell these good people "Get out of the way!" Place and "Up to the youth!", somehow Just right by the sea, two steps from the blue wave Dig if possible, a small soft-holed seagrave Like a good and cosy dog home Alongside that shore where the sand is so fine Very close to my childhood friends, the dolphins Joyfully cutting through the foam A beach where even at its highest fury Neptune never takes himself too seriously And where, when a boat sinks, dafuq!... The captain shouts: "I'm the master on board, Sailors!, save the rhum and wine first and foremost! Each one his own bottle and luck!" And it's there where once, aged fifteen years old past, Time when fun alone is no longer enough, I knew my first affair of love Just lying next to a mermaid, fish-woman I Got from Cupid, my very first lesson Swallowed my very first fish bone! All deference kept to Paul Valery lad' I, humble minstrel, to his great words I add The grand master grants me pardon At least if his verse way better than mine is Let my graveyard be more marine than his Might it displease some autochton! That grave sandwiched by the sky and the water Won't give a mournful shadow to the picture But an inde-finable charm... The bathers, discreet, will use it as a screen To dry and change clothes; the small children will scream: "Oh Goody! A castle of sand!" Is that much asking,... on my little plot Some kind of large pine, Sweetie please, would you plant? 'Umbrella Pine', ideally! Its shade will protect you from insolation When you'll come give me in the summer season Some tender sweet lovin' curtsey Bring along musics, from Spain, from Italy! Filled with aromas, and lovely melodies Of Mistrals and of Tramontanes So that on my sleep, will pour out the echoes Of some villanelle, a day of fandangos Of tarentellas and sardanes And when taking my butte in lieu of a bolster You come, my undine, for a gentle slumber With less than nothing of outfit... I beg Jesus in advance forgiveness Whether my cross' shade leans over you a bit For a posthumous happiness. Ô poor kings pharaos and poor Napoleon Poor famous missing lying in Pantheon Poor ashes of consequences You'll envy a bit the eternal tourist Relaxed and sun-kissed surfing the wave for gist Who spends his death... on 'vacances'. 🌊 🌊 ⁔⁔ † 🧜‍♂️ F. 10/13/21 🌹💖 Inspired from the work by Brassens 'La Supplique' © 12 hours ago beach • death • will - grave • love • nature • rhyme Tell me Sabe for possible language mistakes or akwardnesses... I hope you like it Thanks a lot. Lots of love. Bisous. 😍

    How are you Sabrah I know The video is not about this But could you please clarify this?? Can I use such as and say only one "thing"?? - Teachers will tell students names of football players such as Messi (I know it doesn't make sense, it's just an example) Xd As far as I am aware The use of such as is for listing When you say more than one "object" So Be like " When you get yourself into the army you will be taught how to use different tools, such as bombs, guns or knives...". Sorry my brain right now is not working properly Hope you are alright Take care 🙏🏋️‍♀️🏋️‍♀️

    the english accent dropped ts next to ns is more rural and not really accurate for city, USA is too big with too many dialects. as a Texan I hear what you mean but having traveled all over the world and cleaned up my accent to be simply clear American english i'd be confident in sayin comfy country kin of the rural life dont see much value in the t sound to be annunciated while in the city it clearly clarifies time and money
