Today is a very sad day for me. A friend just died at age 28, I wasn't one of her best friends but I feel so sad, I thought I wasn't allowed to cry because I knew little of her... I took this meditation to think about her family, and my tears just came out ... I thought about youth and how precious those times we spent with our friends are. Please be always good to them, cherish those times. Thank you Adriene. Namaste

7 minutes of meditation brought me to tears. Going through an emotionally hard time. My intention is to give myself compassion, love and knowing that it is ok to be sad and to feel sad. That is who I am. I feel things so deeply and when my loved ones are hurting it makes me so sad.

Compassion for my inner child was also my intention that came to me today. Sitting with myself allowed me to realize that I had been a harsh parent to my inner child, who is suffering from anxiety about health issues. The parent (my rationality) says there are people out there with real health issues! (same argument as there are kids in Africa who are starving). The reality is that she is afraid and doesn't know why, and I should comfort her and sit with her and tell her I understand even if I don't really. This may help her calm down or at least help her to loosen the focus on every little detail but see the bigger picture and try not to fix things but rather observe things and trust that everything is ever changing, never static.

I started to cry when she said, “I choose love”. I feel like God was making me emotional based on how much he loves taking moments like this to be better to ourselves, and to be with him. I hope I’m not the only one who feels this way.

Yoga and meditation is as simple as taking just 7 minutes in the morning to breathe deeply, and be STILL
Woke up way too early - 5:30 and not wanting to wake up the household, listened to this with ear phones at the kitchen table in the dark and decided to walk down to the bakery through the fields to buy croissants and baguettes for hot coffee and orange juice upon return. Want to see the sun rise. Thank you Adriene - your playlists seem to jive so well with what I need!

I think quiet meditation alone is the best... But sometimes the mind struggles and it's nice to have a guide. And it's even more powerful when you feel connected to that guide. Thank you for bringing stillness this morning.

This was the first time I’ve ever really tried meditation and for some reason, I was crying by the end of it. I was just overcome with emotion and this was so powerful for me. I love your videos and start my day with them most weekday mornings. Thank you for what you do Adriene.

i've never seen a single ad on any of adriene's videos. i don't think we totally understand how much she could've made. it's definitely an intentional choice that shows adriene's top focus is NOT the money. thank you adriene!

Haven't meditated in a while but this went by quicker and easier than I can remember, and left me feeling refreshed and ready for today! I guess with Adriene's guidance anything becomes easy.

"Choose love." I needed to hear that today. I have been sad to witness so many angry people from both sides throwing cheap shots and insults at each other in the past couple weeks. Starting my masters today at my dream university. Still won't sink in. I feel so many strange emotions ; so grateful for this is finally happening. I never usually do the meditation videos but I saw it on the September playlist and thought 'why not?' as I woke up early and have time before work. This was so just right for today. I could not help but smile when my mind suddenly cleared as it was scrambling for intentions and I heard 'choose love'

Iam dealing with a hard time with my life. I suddenly feel like life has no meaning and no spark. And then nothings seems to encourage me.then I only explain myself. And get out of it. This helped me a lot!

I chose to give myself another chance today
Action day 14! Day 10 of return to YWA for me. This practice meshed well with my current practice of being present. Today I will continue to be conscious of presence as well as acceptance of what is; all with love. Thank you Adriene. 💜
Just what I needed to beging this day. In the last week I was feeling like life was coming at me faster than my mind could handle, work, car repair, phone died, etc. Felt a bit like a wave overwhelming me almost, then this, I can break it down to one thing at a time and do one thing at a time, slow down, I can handle each thing at it own time, no need to do it all at once. It is feelings much more manageable now. Thank you Adriene

Really yoga is helpful in decreasing headache.
After the anger and sadness of yesterday, getting on the mat is the absolute best thing I can do for myself. It’s a new day and the energy to carry on is renewed as well. We’ll be registering new voters here in my state today, reaching out to citizens relocated due to Hurricane Maria. I can do this work because I can speak Spanish, and I’m so proud of you, Adriene, for putting in the work to learn the language, too. Vale la pena, porque cuando se nos da una crisis así, hay que unificarnos y luchar todos juntos, ¡y los de habla española valen tanto como los demás! My day is off to a great start. With this in the mix the day can't get any better. The magic keeps on working wonders. I plan on doing a waltz dance practice once i'm done with this. Wonderful meditation to start the day( following daily yoga) yeah, I chose love and energy! I hope to continue this month with more energy since I'd been quite a bit lethargic and apathetic! CELEBRATIONS! - our daughter graduates today at TAMUCC 👩🎓 - 5 years of joyful and grateful yoga & meditation practice with YWA mostly from 🇨🇭 So naturally I start my day with this short and powerful meditation and I chose “JOY” 🙏 Adriene and all for everything

What a peaceful way to start the day. Just finishing my daily yoga from the HOME-series, and added this meditation from yesterday's newsletter. Sitting in the morning sun in my room. Namaste to all the 60 people meditating at the same time as me. And all of you reading this. I hope you too will feel some sunshine today, either physically or mentally.

Today my intention I set is awareness. I have been feeling like I've been living unconciously, just moving through my habits automatically, so today I will gently bring awareness to each moment.
I am so thankful for this 7 minute practice. I have been coming to the mat for this practice almost daily for a year now and still have trouble keeping my mind on my breath for just 7 minutes. That said, this practice is keeping me sane with all the madness that is going on around me in the USA. When I can’t breath because of fear and stress I think about this practice and take a breath, and sometimes turn my mind to Benji. Thank you Adriene and Benji, just breathing is difficult at times but I am sticking with it and trying to just stay in the moment. Blessings to you both and your crew. Namaste
