You are right & give a reason or echo back. That's how you win with your wife or girlfriend & get quiet.

Actually, if I suspect you're likely to be trying to sell me something, or trying to get me to do something, any of those phrases would put me on my guard. If you're going to flatter somebody you need to be real sure you're doing it in a believable context and do it sincerely, and don't do it so frequently that your subject starts getting suspicious about your ulterior motives. But it's often flattering (and sincere) to say "I need your help." It implies that the person you're asking has value and resources in your eyes that you lack, and you're being honest and straightforward in soliciting their cooperation.

The context and how wording is used. You are beautiful told to a random person on the st with a genuine heart is a powerful gift you have given to that person. It does not have to be called selling.

These are Positive Affirmations I could use in my life (from others) and use with others as you taught, to get them to accept you or whatever you like them to. Whether true or not, if more people used these secret/magic phrases on others, then it will come back to them. Those who always use negativity need these affirmations told in order for them to respond, to act upon or to drop their resistance. It is so difficult for true narcissistic people who's brains tend to operate on the half empty glass, dark side of life, or in a negative value. Suspicious, and unwilling to share or compliment with sincerity.. only when they need or want something for selfish reasons.

It's amazing how many "persuasion" videos there on youtube - kinda scary. Maybe recognizing these words and phrases when someone is talking to you will help you realize when YOU are being persuaded or manipulated.

Does this still work if you use the phrase slightly different? For example, you said, you have no idea how nice it is to work with someone who is smart and gets it.... can you say instead, it's nice to work with people who get it. Does it still work?

In general abstract patterns like hypnotic language don't work as well in text. But when you are selling or promoting an abstract idea, they DO.
