7 Episodes in One! Painting ALL my New Minis Before They End Up in The Pile :-)
Ойын-сауық
This is a haul video where all of the minis actually get painted! I’m showing off the miniatures and the paintjobs. My goal is to get these looking nice before they wind up in my pile of shame. This collection of figures is an assortment of freebies, as well as some minis that I bought at adepticon.
I’m exploring doing mashup videos like this as a way of painting more minis and stressing less about making each paintjob outstanding.
Here’s more information on the individual projects- beware, spoilers ahead!!! ;-)

I realize that the KZread gods don't reward standard strait forward painting videos but honestly, I want a 2 hour video of Brent just painting a mini. He's chill and relaxing and so positive. That's what I really need. Having a ton of long videos where Brent just paints minis not only helps while I am attacking my pile of shame, it helps when I am attacking my personal shames too. Dude makes me feel like a better person and I need that.

As a veteran with PTSD, your approach is almost like meditation. I always put your videos on to get in the zen like state to just appreciate the model, it’s secrets that only become visible through the process.

Hey bro, I have no military related PTSD. That said, my first painting mentor and teacher of the game I love to play is a combat veteran with PTSD as well. I find that building/painting/play with my plastic army soldiers helps me deal with life in general. Warhammer 40 k basically saved my life. Not too mention the lore of the blood angels really connects with me. Especially Dante. I find the game scene is basically guys with PTSD, and kids with more money than they need.
I think most of us are just happy to sort of "hang out" with you through your videos. It doesn't have to be new and unique every time. Just good vibes with you talking about hobby while painting or just showing off some fun minis is more than enough! Cheers, man!

I'm super happy that you showcased Huge Miniatures paints! The founders are great friends of mine and are wonderful people. They make fantastic paints and basing materials that are absolutely worth checking out. A line of airbrush paints are coming out soon too! The video was very enjoyable as well, of course. I loved that you set your mind to painting what you brought back. I think more of these kinds of videos would be welcome.

In a world where I'm already sick of GW's pushy box painting schedule for content creators, I'm more grateful than ever for this video!
I really loved the deep dives into one model's paint job that we got with the paint challenges. It's great seeing the idea develop from a randomised start, and a trawl through bits boxes to supplement it, to a great end result. There's definitely bandwidth and demand for more of them.

What I really enjoy about this video is that it gives a great overview of techniques and really inspires me to batch paint a variety of different minis I have lying around.
Make your super secret stuff, and make sure you’re always keeping it simple on the down low. Everyone wants to watch your videos, you’re a pillar of my mini painting career and everyone else’s. Good luck and the community has got your back!
I am a big fan of the straight forward videos. I watch (but actually mostly listen) at work. Your voice is a nice soothing presence as I'm doing design work and when I hear you are doing a technique that I am interested in I can look away from my work and pay attention. What I'm saying is that you don't need to always be making grand videos. Understated and informative is sometimes preferred over exciting and illuminating. (not that I don't also love those) Plus, I also like when you talk about things that aren't necessarily directly related to mini painting while showing footage of mini painting.

A video about just painting minis is always good. Don't stress about those big videos, just paint something you enjoy and show it to us. Everybody will find something to enjoy.
I really enjoy the big videos but as someone that just got their first ever box of minis (I mean literally today), I appreciate these more simple videos as well. It helps relief some of that pressure to get a brilliant and extravagant paintjob and colourscheme on the first mini... Aside from that, I watch your videos because you create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I like the pacing of your videos, your commentary and humour and the overall positivity and love for the hobby. I would also gladly watch a video of you just painting one model or even only part of it. What matters more to me is your energy and calming video style. Thank you so much!

Thanks so much for your videos, I just love your lighthearted commentary and all the teachable moments! Please don't worry about always providing something new for us viewers. I'm still starting out and appreciate learning (and re-learning) fundamentals and technique, tricks and tips.... IMO, they are all great videos, so just keep it fun and stress free for yourself : )
I really appreciate this video. It was what I needed, right now. I've recently been successful at getting into the mindset of "Take all the time you need. Try out techniques you've never tried before and might screw up, even on the minis you wanna do well with. Just go for it and it's done when it's done." And I've succeeded in wrestling back my frustration at just how long it's taking, too. So to see a video that's committing to the exact opposite is really great, right now. This is the diametrically opposite mindset: "I will get through this pile. Every mini might have some flaw, but quantity is its own quality, and I'm having fun and not spending time second guessing myself. Ever forward. Every mini gets a coat of paint and on to the next." This is the exact mindset I need a refresher on, for when I come out of my current "spend however long it takes" cycle and need to put a dent in the growing pile of shame.
Thanks for always making these great videos. I started binging a lot of your content and decided I’d start my own painting adventure this week.
