As businesses and technologies evolve rapidly, the ability to solve problems and find solutions independently is crucial. I highlight how putting applicants through practical tests can help identify resourceful candidates. For example, I recently tested video editor applicants by asking them to submit a file with a deliberately set low max size limit, to see if they would find a creative solution to the problem. The goal was to find individuals who wouldn't give up when faced with a challenge, reflecting my belief that the ability to maintain momentum and adapt is invaluable in today's fast-paced business environment.
