    I bought the SR2600 in the deep blue/burled and it changed the way I play and through other players just coming to the stages to talk about not only the tones but the beauty of the bass I’ve met many new players. These basses are the real deal without a doubt!. Through an SVT they really are low end heaven

    same. I beleive they did at one time, using their dimension bass model. They do have the BASS VI as well.

    The Bass VI is really a baritone guitar tuned an octave lower, no matter what its name. Dingwall first really popularized fanned-fret basses.

    Rebel Tuba its not a baritone as it isn't tuned like a baritone. It's a bass guitar by definition as it's an Octave lower than a standard guitar and tuned E to E. Also the only true 6 string fender I've ever seen is that guy from Alien Ant Farm who had a signature 6 string fender.

    Your video on the Ibanez SRFF 806 convinced me to get one. And I had it for a short while - but ironically I had to return it because the neck was warped beyond repair on arrival. So not also the fanned frets giving it the «warped» look - it was warped. So sad. At least I got my money back. Now you are tempting me again.

    I got an Ibanez RGIF8 guitar this past Christmas, but the truss rod was set in wrong. I'm not sure if it's the right move for you, but I got a refund and went down to Kiesel, now I have an absolutely *phenomenal* 8-string guitar from them. It's probably not an option for you, but their showroom (in Escondido, the bottom left corner of the mainland USA) offers a discount on all their guitars, they're a custom instrument company, so their showroom instruments that are already pre-built are discounted to make up for you not being able to customize it. I live just about 2 hours by car out of there, so I went down and got mine.

    Thanks for this. I have the 2605 (didn’t come with a case, I had to buy that as an extra...came with a bag though) five string. I was wondering how I got the mid switch to work as I was switching it but I had the mid flat. I’m guessing my SRA555 with Bartolini pickups is the same...mid switch.

  • @retronax4346

    @retronax4346

    probably because its the "straight fret" of the multiscale. "When either seated or standing, the natural position for most guitarists 'at rest' aligns with the 9th fret. We call this the 'straight fret'. Moving this straight fret position, to let's say, the 12th fret, causes issues towards the nut, or moving it to the 8th, 7th or even 6th fret, increases the angle of the bridge, and therefore the pickup. Both not really a good idea." (from ormsby's website)

    +Josh Starkey i think by "at rest" it means when your arms are at your side rather than on the fretboard, so when they're not reaching one way or the other. Straight fret for a straight arm.

    Pls I have 2 quick questions on Bass SR2605 Premium. Those frets are really Stainless Steel? As they describing on the official site ... and Is there high polish to protect that beautiful finish against scratches and marks and is it really protecting it? And the one last , how balanced this bass is? Because a lots of SR models are neck heavy, because of their light bodies.... So is there any neck dive? It has tendencies to go down to its head? Pls Or someone who owns this bass
