Just found your channel, just passed a year mark of ownership on my first Subie, and your videos have been awesome to watch. I went from a lifted Gladiator on 37s to the manual SJ Forester I have now. With my Subie build, I plan on doing the spring lift with bilstein b6s on Primitive because I want to keep it as close to factory spec as when I started lifted my Gladiator I really fell out of love with it. I also plan on making this a Jack of all trades that can do rallycross, autocross, and some light off-roading. Really loving the community, and find it even more accepting and fun than the Jeep community. Once I get my build done, I will for sure send over pictures to the site. Keep it up with the great content!

That's awesome! Really happy that you're enjoying the videos😃🤙 I love gladiators. I have an XJ on 35's in addition to my Subarus. So I understand the hassle of trying to keep up with all the supporting mods😅 You're on the right track with the Primitive kits. Don't hesitate to contact them directly if you feel at all lost with what to pick. Just tell them I sent you their way and they should take good care of you. Can't wait to see it when you're finished💪💪

@@LiftedImports7😅 it may have to be about why I opted to use a Jeep for trails and a Subaru for everything else. Comfort, ride quality and build quality of modern Subarus is amazing.

@@freedom_foz_6337 hahaha I'm all about it. I own a Jeep now too😅 Subaru gets used for dirt and gravel roads to get into specific activities. Using the Jeep for wheeling IS an activity.

@@LiftedImports7brother! That is the way!! Going to be putting ATs on the Ascent because it’s the roadtrip and fire road champ but the gladiator is the beast for crawling and hauling stuff in the bed.

I just live on a bad dirt road. We have bad mud and snow. I want to lift mine an inch or two because it will make it easier to get in and out of the barn when hail is threatening. Maybe should have bought a wilderness. I think the higher trim level is nicer though.

Honestly, with just a good 2 inch spacer lift and a good all terrain tire, you will probably have great luck. That would likely give you almost the same benefits as the Wilderness would:)

One other point that shouldn't be overlooked is reprograming your transmission and speedo for larger tires. When I lifted my 02 Camry this is what ultimately stopped me from putting on 28" tires up from stock 26's as the transmission wouldn't be shifting at the right points and speeds and would cause undue wear on the clutch packs. Still got the lift and it at least gave me the clearance needed for the deep snow I sometimes had to deal with.

You'll definitely feel the transmission hunting for gears at certain RPM's! I haven't had any issues with the clutch packs wearing out before. But we'll see how long that lasts.

@@CommonPerson0 interesting. I have a Forester that's been lifted for over 3 years and very minimal issues. What suspension parts went bad?

@@CommonPerson0 yikes! Yeah that's not been my experience at all. I definitely wear things out quicker from going on trails. But overall I've not had those issues.
