Hey, I live in Ishinomaki about one block away from the best chashumen around. Not the thickest soup, but the chashu and egg are incredible. It's inside an elderly couple's home. Let me know if you're ever in the area and want to try it out. Also, check out the Tohoku Food Marathon happening in Tome this coming March. A half marathon while eating specialty dishes from Tohoku area sounds like an accident waiting to happen. Love the videos. Peace!

You know, I hate these foreign food type videos because the only thing they do for me is make me hungry, and people who do them always seem to have this obnoxious fake grin. But I like your humour (and your radiant smile, I guess), so I was able to make it through. And there're both Ryotaro AND Natsuki, although a dissapointingly small amount of them. Anywat, looking forward for next video. P.S. JUSTICE-DELICIOUS

Chris, you are such a good host or whatever it is you do. You're creating 10-minute TV shows with each vlog and its awesome. You're funny and witty and I don't know why you don't have a TV show yet. your editing is awesome and interesting: I'm so dissappointed with the other channels that sit in a room and talk about the wonders of Japan and all I see are four grey walls. I like how you take us outside, intercut scenes and pictures and jokes. I'd like to see you interact with regular japanese people with you speaking japanese. that's always impressive. anyway, great job, (except I'm not a foodie so this video meh.) I hope I see you on TV soon. you need your own talk show.

Shu Kenten From France. Not so far away. But I slept every day in CS/worked in hostels/slept on the ground or in my tent, and I only traveled hitchhiking. It's fun, but not everyone could do it... I spent around 5€ a day. My usual guess, if you want to travel cheap, but not broke like me, would be 15 to 25€ a day, plus accomodation.
