Visiting Japan's Fox Village🦊 | Miyagi Zao Kitsunemura Fox Village | ASMR
We went to the fox village in Zao, Miyagi Prefecture! There are more than100 foxes running free in the open space🦊. You can meet six types of foxes, including orange ones, black ones, and white ones. It was my first time seeing foxes, and they were not only cute, but also wild, so beautiful and charming!
The fox village is very far from the station. The most economical way to get there is by public bus, but it runs irregularly. Please check the website in advance. If there is no bus, you will have to take a taxi. Don't worry, the fox village staff will call a taxi for you on your way home.
The fox village was such a fun place! I think this will be one of the good ideas when traveling to Northeast Japan.
🚃JAPAN RAIL PASS is the economical and convenient means of traveling throughout Japan by rail. This is a great deal, so definitely check it out if you're likely to take the Shinkansen in Japan.

I'm in love with your channel! Specially with your explanation on subtitles of how to behave and about the prices and tips for tourists. The way you present your videos is spectacular! Is my life's dream to one day go to Japan, and, if it's possible, see all seasons of the year there 🥰 thank you, for showing different places and also, I would like to see where locals go. Where food is good and cheap, not where tourists usually go. Places to stay, that are confortable and cheap. And how to go around by yourself 😉 Thank you very much, truly! ❤️

@@Kistune_Fox2012 Foxes are not pets, they are not domesticated or tame. They poop and pee everywhere because you can't train them to go outside to poop. Also, they are nocturnal, so they are awake during night and sleep during day. Just because thet are cute, does not mean you can use one because you want one. The reason you can't adopt one, is because they are simply not for humans as pets.

When you've seen the foxes, living conditions and behaviour of the ones at Save A Fox, it makes the behaviour and appearance of these foxes seem - off somehow... Like they're a lot more stressed, or not as well cared for. To me, they actually kinda seem like they're sad.

I did hear something about new management/someone who bought part of the rights and that they are changing things. Like forbidding everyday feeding etc and removing the cages. I also understood that the 'fox shrine' was no longer official because the people sanctifying the shrine refused to because of the state of the foxes making the shrine a tourist attraction instead of what it once was. I hope it's true and that once again it becomes a safe haven for harmed/hurt foxes instead of a breeding spot.

Japan is amazing (at least from afar) - Rabbit isle, cat Isle, even fox village! so much love for the little furballs is nice to see.
I also went to this village and it was horrific experience. I felt so bad for foxes. Their living standards were awful, they were in bad condition - hurt, sad, bitten everywhere. i also was shocked how japanese treated them - they were throwing snacks between foxes on purposes so they will fight each other for it - just normal couple thing while saying' kawaii'. as a fox fan i hope people will see truth about this village instead of promoting it...
@MelonLordHefe

I haven't been there but this is what I thought watching this. The foxes do not look particularly healthy or "happy". It seems like there are way to many foxes in such a small area. A free fox in the city has a territory of 20 to 40 hectare, in the wild up to several hundreds or even a thousand hectare. Very sad to see that these foxes are kept captivated just for the entertainment of human beings. :( Nothing kawaii about that.

Thank you for the informative video, I appreciate the time and effort. I am quite conflicted about the fox village. as the foxes shouldn't be held in captivity with nothing to do all day. I'm sure the daily parade of human visitors would quickly get very boring for them. And it appears there is too much concrete around. Foxes need earth to dig and burrow in. I suppose that is so the foxes cannot make a tunnel and escape! I am sure they receive very good care, but I'm a bit worried for the long-term well-being of these foxes. But again, thank you for sharing your happy memories of your trip, I enjoy your videos very much 😊💕🐰🐰
