Is Japanese tv as bad as you say? No! It’s much worse!! It’s much, much worse! Like you, I love Japan. But, outside of NHK (public tv), it makes American tv actually look good. Now that’s an achievement in badness!

What’s the name of the ryokan they stayed at in Hakone? I also noticed that he did not mention the name of the restaurant in Kyoto where they had the Omi beef. Is it just me or he does not mention any of these? 😅 why not mention it? 😅 is it not the point of a ttavel guide?

Tbh, I hadn’t known MOS Burger until an penpal (gaijin x Hunter) told me about it. Dude, their food is phenomenal. I loved it so much, I ordered a second one. The portion size is just right and everything is flavorful. The patty does look unappetizing but, I swear to you, it’s _delicious_ . The combinations of flavors are not only tasty but filling, satiated, and refreshing. I’m American. So bear with me. Burgers are our staple so… I haven’t even tried all the native burger joints but I would definitely go to MOS Burger again.

It's so disheartening that a small handful of stupid tourists has ruined this for most respectful visitors. Why can't people just respect the country that is hosting them?

Imagine banning foreigners sounds like discrimination to me. Imagine y ou cant take photos. Imagine you cant have freedom of movement and yet we criticize America when they say they dont want foreigners. Fkn double standard is so obvious. Banning foreigners is simply discriminatory .

MInd Japan has the highest suicide rate for a reason. Its an oppresive country with limited human rights. Simimlar to South Korea. Hence why asians escape asia and move to UK Canda and the US and Australia and dont bother learning english or following our norms. So it rude for americans to say no to foreigners invading the US but its ok for Japan to reject foreigners and put signs outside of their business's.

  • @lightningfilms4397

Japanease is RACISTS they have sign sayign no foreigners in resteraunts and business, hotels and spas. Abroad thinks its ok for Japenase people to reject and discriminate foreigners by puting signs on their business that say no foregners. Dont overlook that and pretend Japan doesnt have a human rights iissue and discrimination issue. Japan raped china and did horrible atrocities in history not to long ago which alot of them are still alive living out their old days. Japan is also part of NATO and yet protest Japan is for Japanease which is inherantly a racists discriminatory protests movement. Japan has a lot of flaws and its up to the foreigners to change that. Japan cant want tourism and then not have human rights laws.

I have a feeling the "no photography" signage on its own may somewhat contribute to the problem though, namely of the poking and hair pulling. Many people sadly do behave maliciously if they think they can't be observed or proven committing a malicious or belligerent act. With thoughts of getting away with it due to lack of surveillance or security to apprehend them. Shameful.

I think something that would be a "meet in the middle" type solution for this situation is to have "tour permits" This way, those that really want to go visit these beautiful sights still have the oppertunity to go. And Japan still gets tourists, but makes it harder for those that dont take culture respects seriously. Ans maybe other countries would adopt this format too.
