WHICH DISH do you want to try the most? If I could have one of them right now, I'd probably go for the Mackerel Sushi. Simple, but bloody delicious. Since filming this video, I've found myself ordering it every time I go for sushi.

Abroad in Japan I usually order mackerel sushi when I go out for sushi, but mind you, I don't live in Japan so it's not nearly as quality as that looks. That being said, I would probably try the ramen, because come on... butter and curry in a delicious pork ramen? I have to. But it does look a bit like obesity in a bowl.

I un-ironically think Natsuki describing the spicy broth as "Hot Dancing" was brilliant. His descriptions of the taste of food are rich with visual imagery. Like when he described Maezawa Beef like a "Slow River" and "Calm Lake". Soul of a poet! ...and justice.

Watching this again, I think back to when I first watched this, and where I was at in my life. Feeling so hungry, and so broke that I couldn't really afford any food other than potatoes and mushrooms, or occasionally ground pork if it was on sale, I remember crying at how good that food looked. Feeling incredibly grateful that I survived that time and am in a much better place now.

After having watched Natsuki the movie, I have a renewed appreciation for his appearance in this video. To help a friend make a video, he drove 12 hours away from his 15-hr/day work schedule. He looked visibly exhausted and still tried to be a good host and entertain us. Mad respect and love for Natsuki.
I love how the turtle has what looks like a diaper strapped onto him, with duct tape at 9:43
I'd like to hear Chris actually using japanese. The videos are cut in a way that we might see him say a word or two but never do we hear an actual conversation or anything more than a "domo" or "arigatou". I might just be weird tho, I like languages... :'(

Aomori City represent~! ✨ I practically clicked at hyper speed seeing Aomori in the title lol It was great to see y'all enjoying Aomori outside of Nebuta and the insane snow here too!
Seeing that giant market made me think; more than going out to eat in Japan, I would probably buy some quality ingredients and just learn to cook an array of dishes while I'm there, since I love to cook anyway. That way, when I go home, I can eat most of them again, within reason (because I don't live next to the sea, so a variety of fresh fish is hard to come by). Anyway, thanks for introducing us to more delicious looking Japanese food. Now I'm going to go eat some cereal, I guess...
0:25 "Japan is home, to arguably the finest cuisine in the world" And that line is arguably, the most used by Chris. PS: All food expats in Japan uses this phrase.
Wow I don't think that I've ever seen a more beautiful place.Thank you
From what I've seen, Aomori likes - Apples - Fish - Garlic I've almost always had an interest in Aomori, but now I definitely need to go when I can!
Honestly your videos are the highlight of my day😊
I love this series so much!
I'm actually studying abroad in Hirosaki University and often visit the area in Hirosaki where you shot the video, Hirosaki Castle! I have even visited Aomori and eaten the same ramen in the same shop!! The world is so small! It's amazing that you are bringing attention to this part of Japan!
Came upon your videos by accident, while exploring the wonders of You-Tube. Now I cannot get enough of them. Its not just because I'm a fan of Japanese culture, food etc. But because you make them so enjoyable to watch. Keep up the good work!

I went through that area last October. Loved every minute. I tried the Tuna while in Aomori City. So delicious! One food in here in Aomori that I would recommend is the Barayaki. Had that near Lake Towada. It was beef ribs with onions with a sweet and spicy soy sauce.
DUDE great video!
