初めまして、こんにちは! I am Yuki and currently living in UK at this moment. I always enjoy your films with my boyfriend who is British and BIG fan of you. Sendai is my hometown and I am glad that you introduce not only about Japanese culture, but also about Tohoku area which might not be familiar with foreigners. To be honest, I didn’t know about your channel before, which is a shame, but since he showed me one of your videos that was about “How to date Japanese girls” , I was fascinated and we started to watch together. Now, watching your videos is one of our routine in daily life! Thank you for making such amazing videos !!! In middle of April, I’ll finish my study here and go back to Sendai , besides my boyfriend is coming with me to travel around Japan. So we are hoping that we can see you somewhere around Sendai ! That would be in-FUCKING-credible!!! Because you are the shit!!! See you soon and looking forward to the next video as always! YUKI P.S. I am terribly sorry to use such bad words. I just wanted to make it funny. Hope you can understand…lol

In Sapporo, there were many variations of this available during the '83 to '94 period. Mainly they were each just a progressively diminished amount of flour in the sauce, until at last there's none at all. It was a personal preference of each different place. What I'm saying is that there wasn't just "thick & floury" and "thin & brothy" but also a whole range in between. I didn't get a sense of it the last time I was there in 2016 mainly because I was after the Wagyu beef & Okonomiyaki.

As a non-japanese who never set foot in Japan (I really want to!) I have to say I'm quite proud to say I recognised the background song playing in the shop where you had shio ramen. Remioren from the drama Ichi Ritoru no Namida. Nice vid as usual Chris. Would love to go there and probably will do when I have the money. In the meantime, thanks for "taking" me to Japan, Chris!

I know it has been 3 years, but if you live in the US we have "poke bowls" which are pretty much identical. Unfortunately they vary wildly in popularity, so you may or may not struggle to find one near you depending on where you live. If you don't live in the states, I think they also have some popularity in Europe.
