My partner and I stayed on the coast part of Shichigahama. (near Shiogama) It was absolutely magical! We had to walk for an hour or so to the nearest supermarket for food and on occasion we would wander out to and find some local restaurants/cafes. There was an amazing fish market, that served ramen and all sorts. Everything was so fresh! Also the locals were so forgiving and lovely (despite my terrible Japanese.) Sendai area is lower than most of the US, and way lower than a place like Hong Kong. There is also radiation tests for food done by the co-ops and prefectural government. Matsushima is great and is worth the trip back. Stay overnight at enjoy sunrise over the bay.

SO when I was in Japan, I heard this amazing song in my favorite pub, that I was a frequent in, and I asked about it. The title is, as you might have guessed it, Umarvelous. And I listened to it a bit, and forgot about it. Until know. Thank you. I might start to listen to Monkey Majik ;)

From 1999 to 2006 Sendai is the best city in japan not only in Tohoku prefecture but in whole Japan ! It has that (country+city) vibe, both combined. The nature there is outstanding no place on earth can come close!

I'm currently in Japan now for vacation. I've been following a lot of your advice and what to do and eat. I leave Saturday but I'm so glad I got to visit and that I had lots of great experiences. I haven't left Tokyo but next time I come here I'm definitely leaving tokyo and going to Osaka, Kyoto, Sendai, and maybe even Aomori.

Most famous and tastiest flesh of a cow, bull, or ox, used as food called Wagyu beef, or more specificaly, Sendai Wagyu beef is in process of becoming liquified due to the increased temperature of the opening and cavity in the lower part of the human face, surrounded by the lips, through which food is taken in and vocal sounds are emitted.
