Norm and Sharla together in a video is soooooo enjoyable, and uplifting.

I love how contrasting my favorite living in Japan KZreadrs content are: Here it's like, a nice hike in some hidden Japanese forest, a tour to thrift shops, a very relaxing evening around Sendai with Sharla... Meanwhile, Chris Broad, Abroad in Japan be like: "OY GUV, IMMA TAKE CONNOR, THAT FOKIN WELSH CUNT, INTO A YAKUZA FILLED HALF STAR MOTEL IN HELL. Rain just has that feel to it. Having lived most of my life in a country where monsoons and typhoons are quite common, you'd think I'd hate the rain. But no, I love walking down the urban sidewalks while I shield myself from the rain with my personal umbrella. The sound of car wheels going through rain-soaked asphalt and the pitter-patter of the rain on concrete just...* chef's kiss *

I can imagine Chris being all upset that he wasn't included. He'll probably make a video titled "I HAVE NO FRIENDS IN SENDAI!!" LOL

It's 'bean' too long since we've seen Shar and you together.. yaaay!

For anyone that's curious, that first moth was a female gypsy moth laying eggs. That tan-colored egg casing is actually made with the scales of her abdomen. The males fly and the females don't. They are an invasive species here in the northeastern United States, established since the early 1900s. They can be incredibly destructive and this year has been particularly bad but I have to admit that the infestation gave the forests west of the White Mountains a hauntingly ethereal vibe when I visited in July.

The Canadian Buddies are back, and today they are trying the most hip drink in Sendai .... Edamame Smoothie chunky edition 🥤 Sharla's reaction to hornets besides being hilarious is super relatable 🤣🤣 Love the video as always, wish you both the best and stay safe 😘

It made me laugh when you had to beeeeeep Sharla over and over and over lol. She's always been my favorite KZreadr. She's such a kind and genuine person and I've always respected and liked that about her :) And Norm, congratulations on getting the shoes. They suit you very well. Speaking of suits, that Pokemon suit is great :)

It's such a wild coincidence that every location in this video(apart from that Tokio department store) I've been to back in 2018. Spending a day (and night) in Akiu onsen, having a walk through the Rairaikyo gorge, taking in a panoramic view of the entire Sendai City up the Aoba Castle ruins, and looking out from the observatory during golden hour. It almost felt like a trip back in time!

Love your work, the editing is always amazing. Always puts a smile on my face when I see your videos 😁

Seeing Sendai from a different perspective instead of the one I saw from Abroad in Japan was a welcome experience! Btw that view from the mountaintop is AAAAMMMAAAZZZZZZINNNNGGGG!!!!

I got goosebumps just by seeing Sharla's reaction plus all the blips of censorship. Then you showed the hornets nest, and I understood why she got so scared.

After all the very chill solo videos this was all chaos. So much fun.

I love your videos, especially those that feature Sharla. The views you give us are spectacular, and the music reminded me of the movie "Terms of Endearment." Totally enjoyed this outing - thanks for taking us along!

Sendai is sooo beautiful!! It's always peaceful to live in a place which has a combination of everything in it...the weather, nature, city!

This video was so nostalgic for me! I lived in Sendai (right down the street from Sendai station and AER building) for 3 years and that view from Aoba-Jo takes me right back! How many Date Masamune did you see while you were there? If you ever go back, you should head to Jozenji-dori and see the Mediatheque all lit up at night. It's a great place to relax or get some work done.

Those landscape shots with the clouds are gorgeous Norm! Would make amazing screen savers.

My dream is to one day be able to have a camera like yours & travel around Japan my birth place. I just got back from hiking & camping out in Estes Park, CO! My body is kind of dead, lol! 🤪✌️

Nice video .... Good to see Sharla in one again. Almost went to Sendai in 2012 but ended up going to Sapporo instead. Probably will end up going there trip after next (although hornets are a reason to avoid anywhere!)

Omg that Pokemon suit at the end is so epic awesome! And those nerf shoes go soooo well with it! I've had always wanted to visit Sendai one day. I haven't been anywhere else in Japan except Tokyo, Chiba, Sapporo, Yokohama, Kamakura and Kawaguchiko. I hoping to be able to go back to Japan next year!

The little exploration part of the video is nice. The place looks beautiful. Nice outfit at the end by the way! I'm curious as to what others would think if you did appear somewhere in that entire outfit.

I like that on the background, you can hear the cicadas, I find it really relaxing

Man, I miss Sendai so much! For 3 years I lived in Kasugamachi, right near Kokubuncho, so I love to see glimpses of the downtown area that I knew and loved so much! One of the English conversation schools I work for was in the covered shopping arcade near the AER building. That was 20 years ago, now I'm back in Canada, but since my wife is Japanese, I get to visit now and then! Anyways, enjoyed this video, keep up the great work!

Sendai is a great city. I was surprised the first time by how hilly it can be in places. I had always assumed it was flat. What also impressed me were the cherry blossom trees everywhere and the broad tree lined streets that create a nice canopy. Before my last visit there, I spent the weekend at Yunushi Ichijo, a ryokan in a mountain hotspring town just outside Shiroishi. One day I went into Shiroishi to see its castle. It was the first time I saw a large town in Japan where literally half the buildings were gone because the population had shrunk so much. This is a town that is on the main line from Sendai to Tokyo too. I wasn't expecting that at all.

I always get hit in the feels when I see a set of Japan I've been too, been meaning to go back for the longest time and spend some time photographing as many wonders of the country as possible. But with covid idk when that will be possible
