Well organized and understandable. We'll see how this applies to a brass player and if it assists in gains in range and endurance. Don't need much arching playing trumpet although it would look cool.

Great video! Loved how you organized and categorized the content. Would enjoy a future video that could possibly cover screening for core imbalances.

I loved that you mentioned circus. Do you have any experience with flying trapeze? I’ve been having a lot of trouble with my swing where I sweep (arch) very hard but get absolutely nothing out of it, both on the front and back end of the swing.

This was great. I went from dancing 20 hours a week to nothing when COVID happened and I am trying to get courage to restart but all these weird physical pains are showing themselves and it's so hard to know where to start. I think core is a good place... if you had a stretching video for core that would be awesome because mine is not as strong as it was but it's tighter somehow.. makes no sense to me!! Thanks again for the video:)

Thanks for the suggestion Norah, we will try to do a core stretching video in future. It's definitely frustrating as an athlete during the pandemic. Best wishes with your return to dance.

How can you tell that you have a weak core or which areas need to be strengthened more?

That one is a bit tricky! There are some tests that people suggest such as a leg lower, or endurance ratio of side planking vs front planking. But, I think another great option is just seeing if you can do high-quality movements for each of the basic exercises we covered. If one or two are really hard, then I would try to add more training in for those! Hope that helps

So if I got it right let’s say on toes to bar I first tense my muscle mean hold and L sit position then breath in not too much let’s say 60-70% and then execute toes to bar compression ?
