One question that I haven’t seen a response to yet is how you balance the potential internal conflict of your social chain days (advertisement & consumerism) with your recent viewpoint (connection, authenticity, not being drawn in by socials) etc.

Takeaways from the podcast: 1/3. Focus is important and essential for success. If you don't give 100% of your focus towards the thing you are doing, you are basically reducing your chance of success. But if you do invest 100% of your efforts, you are giving it the best possible chance of success. 2/3. Imposter syndrome is a sign of growth. If you are feeling that you are an imposter, you are in a situation where you will be able to grow a lot. "If you are not outside of your comfort zone, you will not grow". That will allow you to strive forward and learn. 3/3. The three things to look at for success: Enjoyment, Evidence, Validation Enjoyment: If you are not enjoying it, you will probably not be giving 100% of your time attention. Evidence: Are you seeing evidence of progress? Is there marginal progress from one period to the next period? Validation: Am I getting feedback from the people and are people showing up again and again? Are they helping you grow and is there continuous increase X (important metric)?

The first step to wealth creation, is figuring out your goals and risk tolerance - either on your own or with the help of a financial advisor. If you can get the facts about savings and investing with a well detailed plan, you should be able to gain financial security over the years and enjoy the benefits of managing your income.

That’s why I make it a point to speak with a financial advisor before choosing any investments. I’ve been using one since the pandemic, using profits oriented tactics and minimizing risks as a buffer against inevitable downtrends. In addition they have access to insider knowledge and analysis, making failure virtually impossible for them. I’ve made about $800k working with John Desmond Heppolette my advisor for over three years now.

Managing money is different from accumulating wealth, and the lack of investment education in schools may explain why people struggle to maintain their financial gains. The examples you provided are relevant, and I personally benefited from the market crisis, as I embrace challenging times while others tend to avoid them. Well, at least my advisor does too, jokingly.

Last month, I admitted myself to a psychiatrist hospital for suicide attempt, depression and anxiety and today, I am working on converting my hobby to a business. I just want you to know how much you have touched my life. Hey Steven, I had just decided that I needed to spend more time online in something positive and motivational rather than watching short meaningless clips one after another. The day I decided to change what I spend my time on is when I found your channel. First video was about coffee and I have been drinking for 12 years without realizing what caffeine can and is doing to me. Its been 2 weeks. I sleep better, wake up and finally feel full of energy. I told my family and my sister has stopped coffee in the evenings. She thought she could sleep even with coffee but couldn’t understand why she was waking up tired. I have listened to a few more episodes and its so positive and inspirational. I am so grateful for your channel. Thank you.

Thank you very much for the valuable lesson! The „some day“-shelf plus the fact that I need to focus on one thing rather than many different things and then not being able to allocate 100% to each of those things, that’s what I needed to hear. I am a Full Time Student from Germany and my study really takes up much time, but I also have ideas and visions I would like to follow but put them in the back, to concentrate on my studies. And I always say to myself that it’s a bad thing to not take action and work on my idea „alongside“ my studies but this would also mean dividing my time and energy.. it would in fact shift my focus. Hearing that putting my idea on a shelf and postponing taking action isn’t necessary a bad thing reliefs me

"Let's change what we thought was true to what we know is true." This one resonated with me. When I founded my company, The Room Xchange, five years ago, I hung onto the original concept and business model with clenched fists. Thankfully, the two years we were in lockdown in Melbourne Australia, gave me the time to reflect, let go and pivot the company into our new rent/rent offset model which has since proven to be the right move. We're in a rental crisis and we're now ready to solve this problem. Thank you for the reminder. I liken it to when you're pregnant. You have an idea of what your baby/child is going to be like with a naive view. It's not until it's born that you realise that you need to pivot and relaunch your parenting concepts! Having had 30 years of experience as a parent, it's very clear how the same principals work in business. You must let go and grow. Thanks again Steve for your pearls of wisdom. Ludwina x

Question one had me sitting down and looking at things that I need to put on that shelf. I have three projects that I am pushing at the same and today I literally sat down in the morning and asked myself why I was stretching myself so thin? My time is divided and I have become a master of none. It's time to focus✔️. Thank you for this video.

When I think back over my long career, I’ve always asked myself what got me up every morning? Why didn’t I get tired or blasé about being a dentist? Between Simon Sinek‘s “Find Your Why”, and Steve Bartlett‘s “Diary of a CEO”, all the answers are found in there. I was lucky I found what excited and fulfilled me on my first try. Now Steve Bartlett is my source of motivation to start a second career, but this time it’s not so easy, because it’s not falling into my lap. Great podcasts Steve. Thank you for being passionate and genuine. Seeing the actual person who’s asking the question made this concept more meaningful.

I've been struggling with the focus bit a lot this year, but choosing one thing over 10 has been the best thing. It's actually made me more creative as I now have more headspace to do so. Great advice, and more of these segments please! Thank you as always ❤ ...now to find my nearest post office 😅

I love the answer about focus because it is what Im currently thinking of doing. I think I will not split my time and instead choose to do 1 thing for 6 months - 1 year instead

The Gallup entrepreneurial assessment ( BP10 ), builder profile 10 will tell you how much self-believe and resilience do you have as s entrepreneur. They call it " Confidence " and " Determination ". Super helpful assessment for business owners.

Hi Steven, Daniella here, I’m so honoured and honestly quite starstruck that you answered my question in this video. It means so much to me especially as I have been such an avid listener to this podcast from the beginning…I actually still don’t believe it’s happened but I guess I’m still processing. Thank you so much for your advice Steven, I’m definitely going to take it and run with it because you have provided me and definitely a lot of other young people in similar positions with much needed clarity❤️ looking forward to next weeks episode!! (thank you again!!!!!)

Thank you for so many lightbulb moments in this video and your DOAC podcasts I started watching them. I am 68 and as I enter a new chapter in my working life, stuff I should have learned years ago but due to childhood trauma and other issues, I didn't. I have said goodbye to my Chimp (Chimp Paradox) and my codepenceney. I am excited.
