I was at a very low point in my life at 48, preparing to lose everything, house, business and livelihood. I was advised to speak to a lady who could help. On the second session we into 1.5 hrs of a paid 1 hrs session, and I asked why she was so determined to help me, going above and beyond the hour? What she siad blew me away and has changed my life forever! She siad "I have a very long waiting list, so I pray to God for inspiration and who needs the most help, and I was told on a few occasions that you needed the help!" It changed my life forever and now at 55 I'm living my best life ever, with a wonderful person, and I'm so grateful for lessons I've learnt in life to raise my up and becoming the Phoenix from the ashes 🙏♥️ Thank you Kate ♥️

Schools are not for preparing youth for adulthood anymore. They are for indoctrination, with a bit of education mixed in. They would never teach this stuff.

1.Consistency of mind will come from knowing how we make decisions. (Understanding how we think, feel, behave, how we apply logic in thinking, why we do things and why we don't) 2. Accepting failure gives freedom to be fearless. We can have pain but we don't have to continually relive in that pain. (Don't be a victim)We have to get over and do better next time. 3. People protect Self-esteem by not trying to do something new. Stuck in comfort zone. Resilience is important. 4. Visualisation is mind blowing. 5. There's always a future, things do change and feelings do move. 6. Basically happiness is calm and peacefulness you feel okay with tge life the way it is. When life meets your expectations.

The crazy thing is that for the last 6 weeks I've been doing positive affirmations. Every day on the way to my job I've played the same video, 7 ish minutes long and said them out loud. At the start it feels strange, a little awkward, as if the negative voice inside is trying to put you off from doing it. But the amount of change it brings is crazy. Now I'm not saying its just the words that hold the power, but it opens you up to the world, it allows you and drives you to take the opportunities that present themselves to you. When one of the guests mentioned visualizing I now know it's my next step to learn. Thank you Steven and the team for bringing this content out and sharing it with the world ❤

Happiness is only a choice if we're consciously aware that it is a choice, so I think that's why people struggle to believe it. You can't stop the inner chimp from getting triggered, but we can practise parenting it by talking ourselves through it, as pointed out. Takes time but I'm getting better. Thanks for these videos and inspiring so many, amazing work!

Great collage of 'valuable and life-changing bits' of the podcasts Steve. So many valuable insights. I like how Elizabeth Day qualifies man of the thing she says, like differentiating different kinds of failure and what is required to process that, or understanding that people have different resources available that affect access to other resources like therapy. I was struck when she said that she isn't reliving the pain of the past once she has processed it, that this addresses the problem of ongoing sadness. I wondered about this and how I've experienced it in my own life and see other people struggling to overcome sometimes dreadful traumas and battling the constant remembering. Mindset is huge. If the remembering only tells one kind of story, one of failure and brokenness and not one of how we drew valuable meaning from that failure or were able to heal, then clearly the remembering, which is taking us back to that moment over and over, is only reinforcing the pain. Pain is stubborn, it constantly seeks resolution and understanding. I think it's very difficult for me to let go of pain unless I fully understand what I'm letting go of. But, what I've noticed is that when I tell the stories of my past and the various failures or painful episodes, a lot of people assume I'm therefore still reliving the pain, and they don't hear it as a story of healing, even if I'm clear in my own mind that that is what I'm seeing and feeling. The other thing is that even when I'm clear about what I've let go of, the memory of that pain is still alive in me and so I still feel that pain, it's just not with _all_ of myself, as if I was stuck there. And I'm not attached to it, so I can visit it and then just as easily move away from it. So in that sense, I would hope to differentiate between being aware of your past and the fact that it mostly certainly still lives in us and that isn't itself something to exorcise, so that we would just avoid going back there, insisting that the only way is forward, but rather, living comfortably with pain and seeing the bigger picture allows us/me to stay in touch with those important lessons, because I can remind myself of what I have learned, and can be in touch with those experiences that have taught me. Of course, denial almost certainly brings return. These aren't things to control. Self-awareness is like a fluid, it wants to fill every nook and cranny.

I am pretty sure that those thoughts/remarks/ideas have or had or will change our minds as well. Greetings from Liverpool.

I love your videos. They have been a huge help. I have a presentation with my Ceo at the end of feb. I can present my presentation fine alone, but find it hard to speak when higher levels are watching. Do you have anything that can help me?

I love your podcasts especially the one with Morgan Housel. It was very informative and enlightening. Such great info I know he doesn't give advice. Thank you. 😂

Hey Steve, just noticed you wear a black t shirt and jeans on every video haha! Pretty much the same as what I do… I find wearing the same thing every day makes life less complicated and one less thing to think about 🙌

I’ve experienced this with my son, fluffy reports, in his education I didn’t understand the numbers as I did exams with a b c d e f u easy. It wasn’t until year before I understood how far behind he was. I was a self starter. I’ve been telling them it’s adhd for years but he didn’t cause trouble, but he didn’t understand his teachers lack of focus, distracted etc it’s only now he’s having Assesment which will be too late for his exams.
