0:00 Introduction: Magnesium benefits
0:28 What causes magnesium deficiency
1:33 Symptoms of magnesium deficiency
2:16 The most dangerous magnesium deficiency symptom
In this video, we’re going to talk about the most dangerous symptom of magnesium deficiency. Magnesium is involved in over 300 biochemical reactions. It’s important for energy production, the transmission of nerve impulses, and it allows your muscles to relax.
Magnesium deficiency can occur if you’re not getting enough magnesium from your diet or if you’re consuming processed foods, carbohydrates, or alcohol. Gut inflammation, phytates, fluoride, phosphates, and soft water interfere with magnesium absorption.
Signs of a magnesium deficiency include the following:
12. Muscle cramping
11. Loss of appetite
10. Nystagmus
9. Fatigue
8. High blood pressure
7. Abnormal heart rhythm
6. Low vitamin D
5. Potassium deficiency
4. Migraines
3. Blood sugar issues
2. High levels of cortisol
1. Pathological calcification
Pathological calcification is the most dangerous symptom of magnesium deficiency. Magnesium stops calcium buildup in your cells. If there’s too much calcium in the cell, it will self-destruct. Magnesium also helps prevent oxidative stress from occurring in the mitochondria.
Calcium buildup can lead to several problems, including heart attack, neuroinflammation in the brain, and inflammation in other parts of the body. Magnesium, vitamin K2, zinc, vitamin D, and boron may help prevent calcification of the soft tissues.

Let's equate #12 with #1: Muscles cramping is a symptom of Mg deficiency; the heart is a muscle. Consider that if your leg muscles can cramp due to low Mg levels even when they are not very active, the heart muscle also has the potential to cramp when Mg is low.

Now on vit d, change diet, non processed foods, more foods non inflammatory, less fruit, far less sugar, green tea, water ,light exercise, less screen tine, more sunshine. Just got magnesium, boron, calcium still trying to get potassium. Also have niacanimide,b3 too and olive oil in green salad. Aspirin helped loosen very stiff hands. Still seeing gradual changes . I've found for me the most potent yet cost effective way of supplementing potassium is with potassium chloride salt. Traditional potassium supplements they sell with the other general supplements have miniscule amounts of potassium and include extra junk and filler whereas potassium chloride salt is just that-potassium chloride, and your body breaks that apart and utilizes both parts with no waste. I've found it for purchase generally in the health food supplements area of most grocery stores. I salt to taste all my water with it, and I cook with and/or sprinkle it over all my meals just as regular sodium chloride salt. It cost me about $7 for a supply that lasts me months. Pennies a day!

My two cents, for what it's worth .... In addition to all those other supplements you're taking, plus many others, my most important supplement of all is my vit.D3 & K2 capsules. I was taking about 10,000 iu of vitamin D per day during the winter. But I've cut back to 6000 iu per day, now that I'm getting more sunshine. Also I'm taking more oils these days. Of course, olive oil in the kitchen. But, I'm also taking pumpkin seed oil, black seed oil, cod liver oil, and I'm putting castor oil on my face and hands. I'm one slippery devil, as you can imagine. 😄

Dr. Berg, a doctor recently told me I was pre diabetic and wanted me to start a protocol to keep it under control. (First time I've seen a doctor since 1985). I did some research on vitamins and discovered that manganese is the key player in regulating sugars. Sugar is an addiction, I focused on natural sugars and added manganese to my diet. I feel much better, my heart and circulation have improved. Went to see a nurse practitioner and and she said I don't know what you're doing but keep doing it. I have a couple years left until I turn 70. Is it just me or is it the manganese?

Magnesium has lowered my blood pressure A LOT. I was taking clonidine twice a day because it's the only medication that helped. It's not exactly something you should take, especially long term. It works quickly and is given in the ER to lower blood pressure. My blood pressure is so much better with magnesium that I'm no longer taking ANY blood pressure medicine! Magnesium has also stopped leg cramps, aka charlie horses at night and REALLY helped with my severe insomnia. Also, it's not confirmed to be an effect but this has changed for me only after i started taking magnesium. I've never had strong, healthy fingernails. I couldn't grow them out at all. They'd break and peel. My nails are now super healthy and strong. I actually have to file them back because they grow so fast and strong that they get TOO long!
