Yes, and that tells me that it was a way more coerced effort than one or two guys. These scams just keep popping up. Hans Neiman also cheated in chess. I'm 100% sure about this. Yet so many take up for him. Without the public, you have no poker tournaments. The organizers are not hosting one because they are such sweet people. They are doing it because they make a fortune at it! It takes the public's support though. They can't even guarantee that everything is fair. There are corrupting spirits at work literally everywhere now. Everything that is made is suddenly double the price and last 20% as long as before. Long story short, these cheating scandals are a very organized effort with many in on it and making it nearly impossible to prove it. Like seeing someone's hole cards. There are only one source that that information goes to! That is so easy to track down, but strangely no one mentions this because it is a coverup from people higher up than the ones organizing a poker tournament.

And even if they did and he went back on his "deal" with his backer... who cares? That's between Gold and his backer, has nothing to do with how the play was at the tables does it? I mean did he cheat when playing the WSOP that year or is this "controversy" just over the agreement or non-agreement between him and some other dude? I mean, if he didn't cheat and he won it fair and square, then the contract with the backer is just other news and they can settle it or not.

Pros have backers all the dammed time to avoid variance. He wasn’t very good before the wsop main win he had and this video has incorrect bullshit thru the entire thing. First off, it’s not only legal and not in the rules whatsoever, to have backers. It happens for literally thousands of players each WSOP. Gold was still very much an amateur player at the time and had most of his money at that juncture tied up in his production company-which was his full time job before this tournament. The video shows several highlights but all of those were AFTER his main event win and he was extremely bad in the high stakes episodes he was on. It was commonly known that he was a big target for the cash game hustlers back then.

She was actually behind the entire hand, and he didn't have air, he had an open ended straight flush draw. The controversy starts with the fact that her play is very bad. Best case scenario she was facing a coinflip (which was the scenario they were in), worst case scenario she is losing the vast majority of the time. A bad play on its own is not necessarily controversial, but her explanation after the hand definitely made it controversial. She said she called because she thought he had Ace high, but she isn't beating Ace high, so that explanation makes zero sense. There is no evidence of her cheating, so I don't think it's okay to claim that she cheated. However, she definitely lied about how she played the hand, which fueled the controversy. I think there is a real chance she misread her hand and was embarrassed to admit it.

You can see her expression when she looks down at her cards once turning them over, but she was too embarrassed about it so tried to play it off as deliberate. Fr she’s calling a raise with J4 off, like in what world is a pro calling with that. It’s clear she’s an amateur playing and caught a pro on accident 💀

"it's blatantly obvious" Explain how, there's a delay so it had to be someone there. Who was it? How did they do it? And why that spot. We'll wait.

It honestly just seems like some of these are just people so mad that someone else won. Nobody likes to lose but being crybabies about it is so laughable like a 5 year throwing a fit they couldnt buy candy at the store

Gold is one of the most unworthy winners of the World Championship. The fact that he cried and begged Farha to not bet his AAs all in when Gold had a losing pair of KKs should just tell you a lot about the guy. But before that, this bullshit of him backing out of an agreement to pay his share of the payout. Chan didn't need to coach him. Gold got the cards. No talent when you keep hitting. And i dont know about you guys, but i dont like the talking during a hand. So, Gold, Kassouf, and Martin Kobrehl are not good for the game.
