Thank you Medieval Collectibles, my Accolade arrived safely on Friday and I already cut my finger with it lol I love it! btw, the crosses are a little bit bronze, what product can I get to give it that silver look, is there a silver cleaner?

Hi! We're glad you enjoy your Accolade Sword! Please be careful when handling functional weapons. The cross accents are more silver than bronze, but the precise color of the finish will just vary a little from sword to sword because of their handmade nature.

Please make a video showing how to wear the sword and scabbard on the belt.

Can you cut bottles with this sword without damaging it?

Hi! This is a functional sword, but it is not sharpened. If sharpened, it should be able to cut through some surfaces, but we strongly suggest exercising caution to preserve the beauty of the blade.

Good morning. Yes, high carbon steel blades like this one will require regular maintenance to prevent rusting like most other pieces of carbon steel. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

If it stands only for decoration without lubrication, will it still rust?

Yes, rust with high-carbon steel is always a possibility due to moisture in the air. It may rust more slowly with careful display but it will still eventually rust if left untreated. We offer maintenance products for swords such as sword oil and polish or you can use WD-40 to protect the blade as well.
