aye tis a work of art. I'll have one very similar by end of jan from a forge in czech. repub., Rudolf Krutsky. hopefully mine will be just as good
You did a fantastic job on the sword man love the craftsmanship you put into that.

Thank you sir!
Erm...yes please!!!
Fantastic!
amazing piece of art and fascinating how you applied the writing and crosses. I have not seen that done in that way before, what made you choose a dremel over etching them in?

At the time i simply didnt know how to etch! Also now looking back i do like engraving/dremmel look better than etched look. Just my opinion
A fine job...
I neeeeed one!
Wow, amazing job on this sword! I'm new to your channel so that's why I'm commenting on a two year old video.
Looks awesome and very well done. Loving forgecast as well! What kind of dremel bit are you using to engrave?
I'll have this sword by end of jan, from another forge and NOT done by machine, which I think is just wrong, hand forged like this gives the sword life and character
looks great! however I notice that the original has a slight yellow colour to the crossguard and pommel.. I thought for a long time this was brass, but now I looked closer and it's too dull to be brass. so is it colored using heat? or possibly brass wire brushed? what are your thoughts?

never mind, I see now that yours has it too. what did you do to achieve it?

Great analysis and thanks for the comment. My thoughts were leaning torwards bronze or possible brasswire. However at the time of forging this sword i could not find any true brasswire brushes. They were simply steel wire with brass color. So i heated the pieces with my little torch, and i tell ya, it was not easy getting the same heat from one point to another. So yeah i tried the best i could with the tools i had. A treu learning experience! Thanks again / Nils

Emtervik Forge yeah, I have the same problem trying to find proper brass wire brushes.. Though I think brass might have been too bold of a color, so I think heating it trying to get even color was definetly the right choice. ;) you mentioned it was challenging, but surely it would have been easier just putting them in the oven?

I've always seen it as the M4 carbine of the era
gate work and movie and arn nights tempers did so much good but never got reworded for it
very good top de linha :)
Hi Nils there is your site on web can I have the password?! Or you have some works available?!
Fabulous video, but I have one criticism: When engraving - 7:08 - you should have worn safety glasses!
