How did DNA find a match, since the family had been looking for her, then DNA didn't reveal anything. They were located through a data base.

@@freshstart4423 They were found through DNA. They had a closed adoption, her uncle was already in the DNA site. They would have never found if she hadn't also did a DNA test.

I love the uncle. He said " you're my niece and right now you're my favorite niece. I love that they were looking for her 😢

Lynn Moody???? Wow I saw her in Roots. She's so pretty. She looks just like her Mami. They both look so young. Just beautiful.

Her adopted mother gave her some kind words for her situation...

That Dna is strong. The generations resemble each other.

@@brucep9393 See how they trick people, you can't match DNA unless your DNA is on file somewhere. The DNA is logged with other information about you.

I remember watching Lynne Moody on TV growing up, she still looks great. I’m happy for both women, this journey ended so well. Now, they have each other. So funny, watching her mama on That’s My Mama….you can’t write stuff like that😁

"Is this my daughter?" I cried. She was also in Knotts Landing, one of my all time favorite shows.

I'm a birth mother to a beautiful almost 25 year old girl. Her adoptive mother has told me she has dealt with abandonment issues her whole life. I was too young to take care of her. It takes alot of courage to make the life altering decision to place a child in someone else's care. Happy Birthday (on the 11th) to LL. I love you with all my heart. I will be here when you're ready ❤

I help adoptees find birth parents you’d be surprised how many adopted mothers do not tell children that they were adopted. LL needs direct contact with you. You should talk to her not through another party. Out of respect adoptees often wait too late to search. My one adopted man was like I got a bonus mother

Especially if you don't have a clue if child will be raised with love and affection. A gamble that I personally would not ever take!

And my goodness......they look so much alike!! In those 'side-by-side' still photos they look sooooo much alike. I was in tears during parts of this video. Glad they have found each other and can build their relationship from here. Very happy for Lisa Wright and her son. They all seem to be very grateful and thankful for finding each other. Just a beautiful story......

Yes, a very nice story indeed. However, let's never forget the adoptive mother who did all the hard work of raising the child and making all the sacrifices.

@@VeeFoster I saw on another interview she only went looking for her birth mother after the adoptive mother (and father) passed away. She did it because she was heartbroken.

It wasn't God's will for her to give up her daughter, that's what that shows. He reconnected them, but this is not what He wanted for them.

She was phenomenal in Roots and happy for their connection.

I'm not crying you're crying. The most touching story.

And to GOD be the glory. Amen 🙏🏾.

I HIGHLY suggest watching Tamron Hall's interview with these beautiful ladies. It is much better and will have you in tears. This is such a powerful story and I'm glad Lynne and Lisa found each other again. Much love to Lynne's brother who was instrumental in them finding each other. 🥰

The way I cried like a baby when this story broke on the Tamara Hall show because I can relate to this story!!

A lot of people forget that Lynne Moody had a recurring role on Knots Landing too. I am so happy for Lynne and Lisa.

She looks so much like her Birth Mom’s Family they are absolutely beautiful people what a glorious story from her adoptive parents loving story of how they were blessed with her & to her birth mothers story 💜💜

They were united because of a DNA test and national database. Credit goes to the many brilliant minds that discovered DNA, developed means for testing and identifying DNA, conceived and created the Internet, and so forth. Without all these smart people who studied and worked hard and thought hard and used creativity, this would not have happened.

@@breckrichardson390 if her son would have not suggested the thought of her taking a DNA test this wouldn’t have happened. I believe God gave the son the thought of the DNA test to go forth in finding her mother 😉 & the interesting part is that the Mother gives credit to God for bringing them back together in the Tamron show

Beautiful words from the adoptive mother. Some adoptive kids grow up feeling unwanted by their birth parents and develop all kinds of emotional and psychological problems. I wonder if the right words are told about their adoption would help them heal the way Lisa heard those words from her adoptive mother.

This is beautiful! I am so happy for all of you! What a blessing! I have a similar story, and my birthday is December 10th also! I did DNA ancestry to find my biological father, and my results came back with matches. At 49 yrs old, I saw my dad for the first time. Unfortunately, my dad passed in 2017, but at least I saw his picture on his obituary. We look just alike! I also saw I had 4 siblings! We have all met and I have met my dad's side of the family. God is TRULY amazing and I am forever grateful. Many blessings to you, your mom, family and to many new wonderful memories! ❤️🙏🏽❤️

This is so heartwarming. I come from abusive parents and always dreamt and wished I was adopted. Then one day I could meet my real mom that would love me forever.

Miracles do happen. Time, love and hope we’re on both Mother and Daughters side. Both of them are walking in freedom. This story made me cry happy tears.

What a blessing and I most definitely know the feeling..., my sister found us after 43 yrs and when we met she came to me first because I was her last person that she remembered . So when we met I then took her out of town to meet our other sisters, biological mom, host of nieces , nephews etc...
