Adopted Woman Traces Her Roots to Discover She’s a Princess in Sierra Leone

Ойын-сауық

Sarah Culberson was adopted by a loving white family as an infant. Sarah became curious about her bi-racial roots as she got older and went on a quest to find her biological parents. When Sarah contacted her father’s family, she learned that she was part of a royal family in Sierra Leone. She has since embraced her royal status and focuses on important issues such as clean drinking water and more.

@@kwamesarpong1925 well, her real father is the man who birthed her, but her adopted father could never be her real father. He could pretend and love her just as much. Like a transgender. Sarah is a common name we used among the Muslim family descendants in #SierraLeone which normally does not mean you are a princess. But it's has alot to be with a woman of dignity, respect and humble, home maker etc. In the Muslim tradition, they pray for the prophets to choose the right names for their children before commencing the naming ceremony 🎑🎑. Happy and safe 2021 to everyone. I am fascinated by this story. My grandfather who was from British Guyana(Guyana now) married my grandmother from Barbados. He went to Sierra Leone to work on setting up the Railway - early 1900's. Some years later his wife and two daughters. .one my future mother..joined him. Their son was born there in a place called Clineville. Long story short due to illness they returned to Barbados. My grandfather had a son there from an African lady. I have no idea as to their names. Hearing the name Mende reminded me of stories my grandmother told us about Sierra Leone. It also made me wonder for the thousandth plus time about my SL unknown family. Princess Sarah thank you for sharing. A beautiful thing done in naming a well after Ms.Tamron ( Hello Ms. T, keep up the interesting and teaching work). Blessings to you both and the people of Sierra Leone West Africa. We were talking about Hillary Clinton and how she took those kids from Haiti, allegedly, and gave them to her friend who owns an adoption agency and is head of Amber alert. They adopted them to all white families and everyone got paid except for the Haitians. Their parents searched everywhere for their kids and they were sold basically. But still. The story is somehow the same. Did the adopted family know her background?

This is done locally initially by members of Law Enforcement agencies. This is not affiliated to HRC at all.

Isn't that wonderful I'm Sierra Leonean and I'm Mende too actually a mix of Mende-Fullah(Fulani) my dad is Mende and my mom is Fullah from Guinea and my dad from Bandawor, but I was born and raised in Freetown. This is just beautiful.

such an interesting story! and I have so many questions! including, since her adoptive parents RAISED HER BIRTH MOTHER, why did the social worker bother going through a book of kid photos with them?? they did NOT know this was their foster or adopted daughter's baby?? how did they not know she HAD a baby? or did they?? that was a VERY confusing and glossed over part of the interview. AND, is Sarah going to write a book? that would be so cool, if so. I love Tamron, just wish Tamron had not interrupted her so much, when Princess Sarah was answering her questions. esp., since it seems like the time was limited? unless there's more that I missed..otherwise, *also* wish tptb, whoever the exec. producer[s]/decision makers are [is it all Tamron, herself?], that they would have dedicated more minutes to this fascinating woman's adoption journey. and noticed the super-hero statue and book about Stan Lee on her shelf!🐱‍🏍😁 would also have been fun to hear more about that, for sure!👍👸🏾 but I see, over in the thumbnails, that she has her own channel! will definitely visit, to find out what she has going on over there.🤗

Beautiful story, but it doesn't need a movie because it's already polished up to look like a fairytale. They assumed that people would be so caught up in the 'awe' moments that the wouldn't ask these obvious questions. She seemed a bit reticent about it. My guess, her birth mother was untethered.

She answered no questions directly. Why were you placed for adoption? blah blah blah , eventually , "they wanted me to have a better life"....in other words, they were irresponsible or your mom was told she could not keep you. This woman is too pretentious. ALL PR>

and P.S. Tamron said she "doesn't know how to respond," LoL!! ok, time for her to study UP on how all of that works!, hahaha!😄because the WAY to respond is to DONATE to that very important cause..as rarely are honors like that bestowed upon the unknown, publicly 'unaccomplished' and/or the non-wealthy..unless the honoree has done something maybe not known by the world-at-large but which, never-the-less, was/is phenomenal..for a community *within* a kingdom and/or a for a royal family itself.. and this is a universal factoid, so not singling out the lovely Princess Sarah..who obviously loves and cares about *both* of her families and new community very much.💕🌺💞🌷

Well, guess it finally makes her feel accepted and fit somewhere. People if adopting need to stay in their own people group so they don’t feel the obviously not fitting in like she struggled with. That’s mean to make a child suffer through that.
