1 Corinthians 13:4-8 “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self seeking. It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away”. Humans complicate the heck outta love. It’s beyond simple! The first attribute of love is patience. If you’re in a supposed love relationship with someone and they don’t practice patience with ya, it ain’t real love. Nextly, it’s kind. If you’re in an unkind disrespectful relationship, it most assuredly ain’t real love. Use this biblical template of what love is to measure someone’s love for you. Don’t compare animal love to human love. They aren’t the same at all! Remember God=Love. He is love personified! ❤️ and ✌️

And to think that my first boyfriend in the 9th grade gave me this exact note as a gift and I laughed so much I thought it was so corny 😖😖😖 Now that I’m 35 and struggled for years in a very toxic relationship I realize that walking away was the best thing that ever happened to me - how I wish my parents taught me to find a meaningful relationship.

I'm not in a relationship, but I try to apply this to my own feelings towards others. It's becoming easier as the Lord restores my broken heart into a softer, more gentle replacement of its former self. I prayed for years to be kinder, gentler... It feels so good! God is so, so good!

I've found all these in one person. The trick is being able to do it long term. Never found it. People love you because they need something from you. Usually they need to bear children. Also because they can't stand to be alone. We use "love" as a way to hide a million agendas. Very few people have true unconditional love.

Value, pamper and take care of yourself always. There is only one you and you are worthy of love. When you learn about true love for your existence you will fulfill one of your biggest life purpose. I choose to not allow someone to make me into a rebound. Ask the questions, get your answer. Allow for a snap decision if need be. If you are loving someone who wants a f friend, that is not someone to treat as a f friend, but someone to demote immediately to friend, or to immediately demote to acquaintance, or to demote further still to ex acquaintance. Love yourself enough to analyze this from your own perspective. When in doubt, its usually throw it out. Life is too short!

Worst thing is being told you're good looking and a wonderful person by everyone you meet, yet the one person you want to acknowledge the good person they have, the one person who would do anything for them and love them until the end. Some people at incapable of love and prefer to rip the souls out of the good ones and waste time on complete low lives who will never care about them. This superficial world has created some truly horrific monsters who use, abuse, manipulate and break you down just to discard of you like you were absolutely nothing. It's a cruel world to know that you are a great person and everything a normal woman would love to have in their life but they'd rather be toxic and destroy you.

If u cannot be comfortable around each other and feel like walking on eggshells- cannot be your true self, that is a dangerous situation to be in and only wastes your time. life is way too short to tolerate what is not meant for you! I seem to be at my worst, where are they! Lol! Remind me to roll out of bed, drag myself out, be rude, a bit tipsy, ..............come to think of it, I used to get all kinds of males this way! One potential man that was in my heart. At the time I was a mess, come to think of it he was always gentleman like, danced well together, never inappropriate talk, he even asked to see me again. I had other issues to fix, I declined. After that he always was nice to me. Years later we talked, he gave me his number! I could not get to know him more, I was scared I would like him that much more. I was at a stage where I was trying to get closer to God, and I didn't want nothing to deter that. I was scared he would not agree with my form of worship, and the rejection would have bothered me! This is a long story! I fear to run into him! It was a relief he moved away! I saw the other day, he is back! I am scared! I want a man that loves God and worships him the right way! So we can share a very important aspect/ morals, hopes, same line of thought etc.. If I talk to him about this, I am scared to lose his admiration, so I don't want to go there! It has been a couple of years, he probably has a girlie by now! Like Eyeore would say" Doesn't matter anyway!" Lol!

I sometimes wonder how many humans have the capacity to love with this kind of love? Sad to say but I can only think of one. Jesus the avatar for God. When I read about his life he appears to have met all the criteria and then some. That's why he's the perfect teacher. The one whom, I, we should model our lives after. He loves, and loves; gives, and gives; forgives, and forgives; waits, and waits. His patience is unending. Continuing to love joyously and peacefully. Keeping all that is together. He obviously must know, and have known, something about us we have forgotten and are too afraid to remember.

@@dianerodriguez6546 They play Don Waun/ Playboy up to when things (you know what I mean)don't work. Some even ruin your evening playing they can, in reality can't. What makes them think they can do that to you! Argh! Anyways, when they can't, they decide to get serious to settle down, get a care taker type woman, or even get aggressive to all women. I knew of many that go like that! Their purpose is a woman to use! That is why any past men I wanted, it is too late now! There is so much to say on this!

This speaks to me. I am currently in this situation but I don't want to face the reality a part of me is still holding to the great times we shared. I honestly don't believe il find someone better out there. But then again am not happy in this relationship that am in.

it’s truly better to be happy with oneself and “alone” than with someone who makes us feel unloved and alone. i used to feel the same! we deserve better. i am happier alone than i am when i was “with” him. and i used to feel the same way as you. but, everyone has their own things that are possible and important to them, i wish you the best whatever you choose! but live with an abundance mindset instead of fear/lacking mindset for your own peace

We are all loved in some way. There wouldn't be anyone here without some semblance of love. We learn our love lessons from our parents, perhaps our greatest teachers, as well as every human we encounter and have even the slightest interaction with. Obviously the longer we live, the more we run into experiences that seem to be the opposite of love. Those who are truly engaged in their personal love journey forgive and continue to love both themselves and those who "hurt" them. They are on the road to loving unconditionally. It is not a journey for the faint at heart. It requires more strength, more courage, and more stamina than most of us believe we have. Love transcends ALL. That is the real story of the man we call Jesus. Who was both the Son of God and our Brother. If this is true; we must All be Sons and Daughters of God. Created as One and in the Image of the Father. Love IS All there is and will Forever be. The Greatest Spiritual teachers have informed us that we are living an Egoic Dream an Illusion if you will. In the "Wizard of Oz" the wizard is the symbol of man's Ego. It appears to be all powerful. When the curtains are pulled back it is seen for what it truly is...Weak... Powerless...Insecure!

50% of 1st time marriages fail. 70% of 2nd marriages fail. Love is possible, but rare. Most lovers seem to do better as good friends without wedding bands. Tying the knot is necessary, however, if children are going to be involved.
