.50 BMG vs Termite Mound-Extended Version!!

When in South Africa, kill termites! I'll admit it...this video was all about indulging my inner, destructive kid. Like a commenter said on my other gun channel, "The kid with the magnifying glass and the ant hill has grown up!" Funny analogy and completely true. I DID spend time burning ants with a magnifying glass as a kid. Anyway, I was surprised how little damage was done to the mound with 3 rounds of .50 BMG. But I was pleasantly surprised how well the muzzle blast did! Many thanks to Crusader Safaris for this fantastic adventure!

That man’s reaction to being upset over the spilled drink and being filmed is mild to how I would have been with a camera in my face being laughed at ! Clearly that vehicle is his office and his means of supporting his family! He’s concerned about lasting damage like smells and or ants or bees being attracted to the scent !

@markserbu Hey Mark, you said that your guides were speaking Zulu. Were your hunting trips anywhere in the vicinity of Isandlwana or Rorke's Drift? Two significant military engagements took place there during the start of the Anglo-Zulu War in 1879. The Battle of Isandlwana was the first time that a modern army suffered a catastrophic defeat at the hands of an indigenous force. The Memorial at Isandlwana is someplace I'd like to visit one day.
