With over 3000 plus "standard" commands in addition to making your own using "quick commands,", he only scratched the surface! He also forgot to demo the "Open/Close Q And A" Session feature.

There is more. You can enable quick commands to where you nest multiple commands that she said in sequence( kinda of like a macro function in Excel) with a key word. For example, if you say "Hi Bixby, Good morning" - it will turn on brightness to max, open Google music to play your favorite tune, search your commute traffic and read emails aloud... all this from a single command that you can program to whatever you like.

I think Bixby has potential, people are just hating on it cuz it was released half assedly and reviewers gone all hating on it cuz anything not Google or pure stock Android is shit to them. It can do a lot more than Google Assistant and at the very least it's better than Siri. They just need to improve on speed... like everything Samsung.

It got railed because they tried to force a feature on people with an unchangeable hardware button and subpar software. Even if it's good, you can't force something on people and expect them to eat it up (unless maybe your google or apple).

I can't wait to pick up my Galaxy S8 next Thursday or Friday of next week! :-) For the haters of the Bixby platform, I am ashamed of you!!! As a blind Android user, way more things that Bixby will happily do that Google Assistant well, however I am not going to not assistance they make the software I truly enjoy on Chrome OS. :-) one thing David forgot to mention, was the Q&A feature, which in turn acts like how Google Assistant guys with questions. A Q&A, it's a close Q&A. I apologize for the last sentence having dictation issues, but I think you get what I'm saying. :-)

Blackman Whitesuit At least they didn't remove the freaking headphone jack *cough Google Though I agree on the software side, it should've been fully developed before it's released to the public and the button, IMHO, if it were to be remappable, people wouldn't use Bixby. As a company, how would you feel developing a software that costs probably millions of dollars and the intent to advance technology but the button specifically dedicated for that software is used for something else?

Ср Хйт especially if you hold down the Bixby button, like a walkie-talkie instead of using your voice. I'm happy that you can interchangeably use which either method you want.

I honestly use bixby every day. I have it set to commands "going to work" and "I'm home" Each controls wifi, Bluetooth, auto brightness, power saving mode, performance mode, and opens google music. It's pretty awesome.

I've got Bixby set for 6 options . Home, Work, Going, Out , good Night ,Good Morning and be Quiet. Each sets the volume , Bluetooth on on/off , wifi on/off , screen brightness ,optimize and clear memory , play music , gps on/off ,mobile data on/off and some other stuff. TBH the voice commands when setting up don't really pick up deeper voices so I use the button and find it better than having to say Hi Bixby all the time and people don't think you're nuts. Easily a win for Bixby in the assistant category.

how do you got it to work ? i just bought a s10e and bixby is just not working. it opens whatsapp but it never sends any message, it opens waze but it doesn't do any thing extra. so far ist kind of shitty...

When a phone gets Google Assistant built in, it becomes a feature. When a phone gets Bixby, it's a bloatware,frustrating thing etc. Even though Bixby is capable in many practical areas where there is literally no competition.

Nothing, I repeat, nothing can replace this mighty Bixby. It has been into the fight so late than other assistants but it's been pretty impressive. Executing chain commands isn't easy. Wow!

Bixby is pretty much a badass, amongst all the assistance! I've had my Galaxy S9 since summer 2018, and because I didn't know how to use Bixbyat the time, I shut it off. As of most recently, turn it back on play with some of the features and realize that Bixby has a lot of potential, and as well very practical! I'm pretty sure a lot of people we're like the way I was earlier, and did not want to learn I knew application that has so much involvement. Bixby is a very intuitive, practical, and an app that will not only learn from you but teach you how to take advantage of its many uses. This is a great video tutorial, and along with sakitech's videos, I've been learning so much about Bixby!

This reinforced my thought into buying this phone. System commands are most useful to me. consider your phone lying in the dark and you ask it to turn on the flashlight on its own. Very practical.

When I bought my Note 9 I was so turned down about Bixby and its dedicated button, but all of that until recently when i was bored, had nothing to do and decided to mess around with the button and boy it's growing on me ever since, it's become my favorite feature after the S-Pen, good job Samsung.

Incredible! Samsung have done a wonderful job with Bixby. I believe that having Bixby + Google Assistant on a Galaxy, there is just about nothing you cannot do with your voice.
