CK NorthPole I hold on to my current phone until I need a new one, not until a newer one is released. They're the same as the previous model except minor unnoticeable spec upgrades. No actual new features appear anymore.

If you'd upgrade everytime, you'd have to move all your files too.And with that many phones, I'd rather stick with a relatively one and keep it instead of moving all my files everytime and logging me in everywhere manually and having to move my mobile authenticator codes one by one. That scratch sound is double annoying for me. Not only cause I wear ATH-A900X headphones but because that sound is like nails on a blackboard to me. As the sound of any electronics dying pains me. Hard drive head crash. I actually have to disagree with Jerry Rig Everything and think the removable buttons are a great thing, and here's why. 1. it makes the phone more waterproof as that plastic peg inside on the back of the button can click the actual button inside which is probably covered in rubber. 2. if you ever get a damaged button you can easily replace it without taking the whole phone apart and not compromising the water resistance. 3. Since the buttons are removable some will moat likely create colored button mods (Like they do for game controllers.) or I really hope so and that someone makes custom button colors that are metal or even clear buttons but those would specifically have to be plastic and then Jerry Rig Everything can have one more thing on the phone thats clear and see through on the phone! We just need molds!

It would cool if after market manufacturers make different color buttons for the note 9 so that u can pop out the OEM ones and put in the different color after market ones. Red buttons on the black variant would look sick as well as yellow buttons on the blue. variant.

Jovon Reviews If they intentionally design that way, nope. There are many holes on a phone like headphone jack, usb port, s-pen hole, etc., but it's still water resistant.

Funny thing is the MacBook is usb c and has a headphone jack more features then the whole ecosystem? Right let’s all just sit back remember the note 7 lol Samsung can’t make a phone their shit slows down after a year and who even uses a headphone jack anyway I don’t everything’s Bluetooth and with memory cards what’s the point when I could just put everything on iCloud and never lose it like ever?

Daniel Vega I believe the removal represents that Samsung has updated the structure of the phone and excluded the buttons from the water proof design. It's quite impressive actually, as Samsung phones have more holes (headphone jack and s pen slot) and still maintain IP68 ratings. But I don't have the note 9 so I could not be sure. We'll know more about these buttons when Zack dissemble the phone~

I seriously hate Bixby and Samsung forcing it on their users with a dedicated button. Also I think they removed the ability to remap it with third party apps. Not sure through accessibility though. But I guess now you can just completely remove the button and not even worry about accidentally pressing it.
