Shalin Sutaria creatively speaking what they did with AJ has been boring, nothing memorable. His title run has been a joke, he has been stuck on the getto of the B show Smackdown. It's basically the IC title. It has been a fake push to keep AJ happy as a second rate guy.

wwe should just focus on quality, instead on quantity. as i see it, they have too many tv shows now, to make something decent, way too many hours per week. i understand Raw,Smackdown and minor league NXT, after that they should just cut down. so they can focus on making more quality shows. i understand why creative have such had time in WWE, with alot of hours of TV each week, its damn hard to keep the quality up. if WWE dont start to do something now, their products can end being staled instead. for me i watch MLW, i kinda like the feel of their programming, kinda a mixture of what old school WCW did, before russo era and forward thinking. now NJPW is knocking on the doors and promotion like AEW that is getting backed heavily, we might see a new era again, like back in the day with TNA when they started.

Agreed they WWE needs better quality, but the amount of shows/hours they have per week is not the issue, Raw and Smackdown are essentially different shows with different creative teams. WWE doesn't have a clue at what they are doing, they call up NXT folks that are over and don't use them or use them horribly, they have the same matches week after week and have very little that's compelling going on. There is lot's of WWE talent that you don't see for weeks or months, what WWE needs is a better creative team and to work with talent, instead it's Bobby Lashley mooning the crowd... WWE needs to revamp their creative team, but that likely won't happen unless AEW(or another promotion) gets close to WWE in ratings that's the only wake-up call that will work... at which point WWE will try to steal what that promotion is doing, as can be seen with Vince/AJ Styles last week.

They never will. Vince has made it clear that match quality is last on his list of priorities (he literally has said so) and it's shown throughout history. That's how a bunch of Indy stars (no disrespect bc they're the best in the world) came to prominence without national exposure in the first place...

A lot of their burden would be lifted if they just let the wrestlers "wing it" (within reason) e.g. 1. insult fans 2. demand respect 3. call out wwe champion 4. kick AJ Styles in the balls before leaving the ring.

I highly doubt AJ Styles will.

No chance AJ leaves WWE .He finally made it and is one of the TOP DOGS he is even in storyline with Vince now ,Styles said multiple times he wont wrestle much longer and i dont see him turning down big bucks and embark in a leap in the dark as his last contract........ already done that with TNA built it from the ground and proved everything there is to prove.... He ll do what is better for him his wife and his kids make huge bucks in WWE call it a day and enjoy the rest of his life with his family

If JR goes, and they already signed Jericho, they will book shows. If AEW gets off the ground, that will spark competition. I just don't want WWE to go back to the attitude era because my kids are fans and that era was not good for children. WWE just needs to incorporate better writing and booking. I'd like to see AJ just do tv, ppvs, and maybe a couple big house shows so he could be home more. At this point, AJ will be a huge asset against another wrestling promotion.

Financially it already does and word has it, they're getting a deal with tnt/tbs.... That's historical as WCW competed with WWE on that broadcast which ended in 2001.

AEW does have a lot of potential and sure they'll be successful but you guys really need to calm down on this competition thing 1. They don't have T.V. deal yet, so you gotta see if you can watch it. 2. They have a Loonng way to go before they can even Spit in WWE's direction 3. also they have advantages, raw ratings dropping to a new low every week and Vince having to manage the return of xfl this will make vince have 50% of his attention on the shows and 50% on xfl,but In my opinion how they reach the maximum amount of people worldwide can determine if they can be successful or not. WWE reaches every corner of the world via TV so If AEW wants to be the competition they have to do the same.

You guys have to realize that while this is big, AEW are gonna need to be huge in every way possible. They aren’t just gonna compete with WWE straight out of the gate. Plus they are locking down their top talent. WWE was very aware, and so are other wrestling companies such as ROH, NJPW, Impact, & MLW and Definet. Where is the talent gonna come from? It’s a lot of things to be mindful of.

This is the ONE SINGLE PLAUSIBLE move that could give them a shot to compete with WWE. I doubt it ever happens, Cena will probably retire a WWE guy go in the HOF and sign a legends deal. And even if he joins it's just as important, if not more so, that they get WWE level production, editing, camera crew, ect.

Tough one for Gallows and Anderson. With the Bucks you certainly have someone around that will treat tag teams as well as NJPW does. But over at NJPW they're established already and Bullet Club could fill up it's ranks. I'm curious how all that bye bye for BC will happen. And what that means for Chase Owens, Yujiro Takahashi...

A couple guys I could see leaving easily are Ziggler, Samoa Joe, Ty Dillinger, Tyler breeze, Bray Wyatt, Sasha Banks, Ember Moon. Could also see former wrestlers like CM Punk, Evan Bourne, Emma, Enzo & Cass.

I think a lot of this is really over blown. I really don’t think a lot of wwe talent especially big names will jump ship. WWE is still the big juggernaut company and they have the most money and gather the most attention. why would guys like AJ or other big names jump to a startup when they’re on the biggest wrestling show and will remain that way for awhile even if AEW start out successful. maybe years later after AEW has shown success some disgruntled and unused guys may jump ship but still even guys like Ryder still are in a better spot being apart of wwe even if not booked on tv as much.

I agree that it still remains to be seen how AEW will turn out. That being said, initial money will not be an issue. The Kahns actually have almost twice as much money as the McMahons. So AEW will be able to pay the wrestlers. It will just come down to how much word of mouth can get out there and how competent the booking is, whether the company can continue to make money. I'm hoping they will be able to be successful and compete with the WWE as it will only make wrestling better as a whole!

Can we honest here whos clamoring for Ryder? Do we really want to see Ryder or Hawkins vs Styles at Mania. At the end of the in WWE if you don't draw mone and get constant fan reaction outside of a woo, chances are you're not going to be top dog. Sorry. Not saying he's not talented but he's injury prone, like Barret was and in Vinces eyes that's hard to invest/rely on. To me he's the same Jersey shore adjacent action figure guy who just dates fellow wrestlers for a while now. Character is stale and hasn't grown into anything or hit that next level of mega talent.

If a wrestler has potential, I'm sure they're willing to give a good contract. Maybe not as much as WWE at first but they'll get more creative say for sure. And a few years down the line they may get paid the same. It depends on if you value money or creativity more. It could also be a balance too. A bit less money but a lot more creative freedom & exposure. I think many would take that deal.

lucky 13 plus Cody has known Goldberg all his life from his dad and the WCW days. So boom another connection.

Love the idea of old timers and new age going head to head. This will answer those questions like if this guy could beat that guy like serious what if matches. The Cody vs Dustin Rhodes fight showed just what these fights could look like and wow 😮 it’s amazing. Really Great to see passion on the faces of these guys .This is as real as wrestling ever gonna get. No gimmicks no shitty storylines just wrestlers wrestling!

I want AEW to be as big as WCW was during the wars. But without Russo, I am still mad about WCW going out of business. It took my daughters starting to watch WWE to bring me back, but AEW takes off so they can start watching it.

That's pretty awesome that they created all elite wrestling and that it's actually going to take off. You got many Elite members already signed to the roster and Britt Baker, who's next? I would say Adam Cole, but he still has to go to the main roster in WWE and wreak havoc on all the phonies.

Styles if he wants a lighter schedule will return "Home" to Impact.

I'm sure AEW will be a success. Cody and the Bucks know how to put on a show. Look at "All In". And they're getting help from a billionaire not named Vince McMahon.

@@plshelpmeawkdough This guy got it right. Its just like examinations in school. You cant just ace 1 test, you have to ace it all which means constant hard work. And being constant is difficult

One show is not a lot to go by but I hope they succeed. Also I wouldn't say ALL IN is their only experience. They also deal with ROH & NJPW behind the scenes. If you listen to their podcasts, you know they (The Elite, Omega, Cody etc) have influence over many ROH & NJPW matches & storylines and those have mostly been very successful so far.

Just imagine if AEW gets really big and we have another Monday night war. WWE might actually make RAW good

Zac Ryder could leave at anytime to wrestle the indies. I don’t know why the idea of him going to a promotion that doesn’t exist is so exciting.

Hate is a strong word. I would say I dislike them. I wish them all the best and much success but I don't plan on watching it either.

I think in addition to some of the guys listed I could also see Nakamura, Rusev (and Lana), Ambrose, Ziggler, Balor, Wyatt, M. Hardy, and if the deal is good enough, Lesnar (with Heyman) leaving WWE for AEW. On the womens side I wouldn't be surprised if WWE loses Dana Brook, Maria, or Carmella among others.

They need to get Buff Bagwell. He was always one of the top wrestlers.

Top talent All Elite should pick up: Jay Lethal; MVP; Rob Van Dam; Ryback; Jack Swagger; Briscoe Brothers; James Storm; CM Punk; AJ Lee; Gail Kim; Awesome Kong; Michael Elgin; Hammerstone ; and I know there are a lot of others.

Executive Vice President for Young Bucks and Cody. Basically champions forever. And Brandi as executive brand officer. Good luck with that. I give this 3 years. Khan will pull out sooner or later.

I doubt WWE would let A.J leave, but AEW could offer him everything he wants, a lighter schedule, more money, and high profile matches. Being friends with the Bucks could help, and this would be a huge pickup for AEW.

It’s a much different time than it was in the 90s. If AEW wants to be successful, it needs to be ahead or on the same page as WWE technology wise. They would need a streaming service like WWE network to host their PPVs and shows, because asking people to give $40-50 for one event doesn’t make sense in this day and age. It’s more than just about how many PPV buys you get, or how many viewers and ratings you get. They need someone who is a genius when it comes to business. What they also need is someone who is a genius with the wrestling aspect. They should get Paul Heyman to fill in that role.

I don't think AJ styles going to quit at wwe I think she's going to retire but I think you might stay at the WWE how about with new superstars move it to the next main roster

Has anybody noticed that history starting to repeat itself WWE used to have this type of debacle with WCW years ago then after that it repeated when they went after TNA it suddenly feels like a cycle
