The year is 20XX. The Tails meta improves into TAS levels. And then 100 years later 1.2 finally releases and tails gets nerved

6. Be patient. Sometimes mid game, take a moment to breathe a little ad think about what your gonna do. Helps of you wait for your opponent to strike such as crouching or dash dancing near him & maybe pick up on habits.

Both this video and my brother have been a big help in my improvement in SSF2. After probably a f2. My brother tought me so many things in this game whenever we would play it together. He tought me basic things like mixing up my options, getting out the habit of rolling, and how to punish or read rolls. Before I knew it, I was ready to create an account for SSF2 and try fighting people online. I found my perfect main, Luffy. Not too fast, but not too slow. Nice range and kill power. And great recovery options as well. I learned when and when not to comit to a certain move. The weird thing is, I never really tried to improve in SSF2 that much. I was sort of just doing my own thing, and I guess after practicing combos and fighting some many people online, I naturally improved. I never even though I would like playing as Luffy. When I first picked up that character, I honestly thought he was a weird character. Over time, I learned some pretty interesting tech with Luffy. There's one tech specifically that I'm just shocked that I don't see people use. That is the infinite side B, as I like to call it. My point is, I'm a Luffy main for life now. He's a really fun character to use.

I have a fairly slow internet so I can't really avoid lag, even when playing against someone from the same country... I just had to learn to predict everything that's gonna happen...

Lol I used dash canceling before even knowing what it was

Tip 5 ways to improve! Dash cancel Use fox,marth,samus,captin falcon Pick one of those mains after training with them. Try a match of online see your skills when think your good. Use antherladder.

You can do the first tech just by holding C on the controller and doing smash attacks, there are also other cases were you can dash cancel into the neutral like Marths up tilt

Last tip: Don't switch mains every week like VulgR

I know how you feel, but honestly loosing alot will help you adapt and get better. The important thing is that you shouldent loose for the samre reasons and you should work on fundamentals. You will get better

I Kno I'm saying this a month later than when this was actually made but I just would like to say I need to learn grabbing, not getting juggled, not getting ledge guarded, and how to recover in air quickly, my main is Sora and I'm good with him against most people, and I've only found 2 people who could beat me, I'm not a newcomer but I still have things to learn.

I've been playing the game since it came out but never in a competitive way till only recently

bowler idk if youll (anyone reading upvote plz) see this but i have a weird pacman glitch that i found. as far as i can see no one else has done this before but it doesn't seem tournament viable. basically what it is is that u grab a character while facing a hydrant, then get pushed into a trampoline. this will get the grabbed person stuck. theres a lot more details about it but i don't wanna make this too long i guess just reply if u wanna hear

Yeet Street i have found a pacman glitch two I was playing with a friend I was pacman my friend was pickachu we playd special smash and we used metal,light and egg and I put a trambuline down(we were playing on the pacman stage)and it was red and Pickacu jumped un the trambuline a egg showd up at first we were thinking that he was still in the egg but he started atacking and we realised that he became invisible until I hit him and he comes Back to normal!

I'm stuck in limbo =/ I've played smash for 10 years, but a few years ago I just stopped getting better. I'm stuck at this skill level where I can't find a fair match in any smash. every game I either destroy my opponent, or my opponent destroys me. I can't seem to main anyone either, I've "mained" just about every smash character at one point at least, and so far the only ones I've stuck with even the littlest bit is Falco in Smash 4 (his up tilt is better there, and I prefer his down special not being a copy of Fox's) and Black mage in SSF2... and liking Black Mage kinda fucks me because I'm weakest against fast swordsmen like Lloyd, Marth, and Ichigo already...

By the way the to be online and play with other players go and type unblocked games 66 ez scroll down one and it will say super smash flash 2 the controls are o, p, and the keyboard up, down, left, right.

Online mode never works for me, so the only way i can vs cpus better than me is if the difficulty is increased. Level 9 is still i bit too easy

tip 1: spam Sandbag recovery

ii use to be good playing ssf2 in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 after i stopped playing it, and when it got a change i came back and im trash.

Note: --Dash Cancelling can allow you to Perfect Pivot Facing Right (if using Auto Dash): D -> S -> Walk Button -> A --Shield Dropping doesn't require a shield All you have to do is press your Walk/Run button, and Down.

I don't believe Perfect Pivoting in this game carries moment as well to get BAirs as it does in S4, but you can do a varient where you Dash, quickly tap in the opposite direction *(outside of dash dance range),* and then jump (Facing Right) [long] D -> [short] A (when outside Dash Dance range) -> [wait till char. turns] Jump -> [Aerial]

2:33 u have to bind a "walk" button in your controls (if you are using auto dash). When on a platform you can hold down the walk button then hit crouch and you will drop through the platforn. You should shield drop when you are getting pressured on a platform, just shield drop and input an aerial as soon as you drop from the platform. This can be really useful for trying to get back on the ground or stop opponents that are constantly pressuring you. Be careful though as good players will know how to bait out and punish your shield drops.

I wish dash cancelling was in smash4

Yes, it's usually a counterpick in tournaments, although it's not to common in friendly 1v1's.

Its the only legal stage where you can have Hazzards on. (Not counting stages without Hazzards)

For #4, I find really hard. I save most of the replays I lose and I watch them frequently, but I can never tell what I am doing wrong, apart from obvious things like: "I should have F-smashed the other way" or "I should've shielded there" I can't tell anything past that in the fundamental issues of my play. I feel like this is really hindering my growth, does anyone know how I can get better at this

try to see things that are not exactly obvious like being able to throw out a better option or learning a pattern in what you or your opponent does

look at things like: "hmm, would be x better than y here?" or "each time x approaches i y" and try to think of better options, break the pattern. i had trouble with this too
