Everyone has to make money....Marketing is what it is, you take the sponsers you can get....Nobody forces anyone to buy any products, you really think we see what lures KVD really throws? He won a Classic on a 70's Rogue while pitching the Strike King Jerkbait in every magazine, show etc...Majority of lures guys use here in Florida to win money, rarely the ones they speak about at the ramp....If you are sponsered by Yum, or BPS for example...You don't think they have some Yamamoto products in the boat or only thowing Stik'os and dingers...Just saying. I never believe anything I read or hear from a pro regarding brands. I assume if throwing a mid-deep crankbait, they are throwing the proven models from Bomber, Rapala, Norman, Poe's, SK XD....Maybe a new Berkley or Spro, but either custom balsa cranks, something modified....They rarely are throwing the Ima $20 Crankbait they claim.

@@ldsudduthhanover In all seriousness, who is building rods in the USA? Reels? I believe just about every company has production off shore in either China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Vietnam etc...As long as they company has good quality control, I believe the engineers in other countries are as good as any. Unfortunately, mostly R&D is done in USA and then they use overseas companies, otherwise you would be paying crazy money for same rod made in USA...Not all China products are Junk. Cheap reels are cheap reels, a $200 rod made overseas is a good rod if QC is good along with warranty etc....At least Roland is not pitching Livingston or Live Target.

@@jeffh2732 honestly..... I have a "cheap" Korean reel that I bought on Amazon for less than $40 that (in my opinion) fishes better than my buddy's Shimano or my Daiwas. And the best part about it is if I drop in the lake, run over it with the truck, or have to drop it and run for whatever reason I'm not out a car payment.

I was just thinking out loud, "I really like this Roland guy. He's a great teacher." Because honestly, most bass KZreadrs are kinda stingy when it comes to advice. And I get it; they're a tournament fisherman, and they don't wanna give all their tips and tricks away... fair enough. But damn man. Not only do they keep what tackle they use a secret, but they won't even explain what they're doing and how to fish it. Just highlights of them catching fish. Well heck Roland doesn't seem to mind at all. He'll show us and teach us everything he knows, just to help us catch bass. So thank you! I really appreciate your videos! You've helped me a lot.

Now I’m on KZread finding and learning so much info about bass fishing. I’m not to sure who this guy is but he makes me just want to learn more and more. Seems like a great teacher and I’m looking forward to watching more of his videos. I’m hooked to the point I went out and bought a trolling motor for my kayak, can’t wait to get back on the water.
