Excellent points regarding no contact. And yes, the best time to build a connection is when there's no pressure... Haven't heard anyone else word it as well... it IS the rational mind giving permission.

So sorry to hear about your sister in law and I know your mom isn’t doing well. You and your family are in my thoughts. Regarding feedback, your videos are always helpful. My ex is doing the distancing thing and keeping safe behind texts and overworking but he has my back which is confusing. We’ve been broken up for about five months and work together. Yikes. I’m taking a step back because it’s starting to emotionally hurt. He’s also not transparent with me anymore. Anyway, all this seems minor compared to what your family is going through, wishing and praying for all the best.

Praying for your family. I'm so confused. My ex (5 months post breakup) and I were talking nearly every day. We spent time together maybe 8 times in this period and always had a great time together. Very affectionate, etc. His sister came to visit and stayed with me and he came to stay for a few days as well. Kept thanking me for a wonderful time, etc. Has brought up that he misses me and still has love for me during this period...even asked me if down the road and we try things again if I would consider having a family with him. Fast forward to now and he is barely talking to me at all. Will usually send me funny videos each day, but the phone calls have basically stopped. I think he called 3 times in 2.5 weeks. I know he's overwhelmed with a lot going on and I want him to focus on himself, but it's odd that we had such a great time and now he's pulled WAY BACK. Guess I'll just keep living my life!

Ex called me today (broke up like 5 weeks ago, I stopped reaching out like 2 weeks ago but she still does now and then) She called yesterday and a couple days ago aswell but the conversations were very short. Today, She flirted a bit, I flirted back jokingly and she laughed. She said she now knows how much work I used to do to pay our bills we had together, she asked questions like Her : So do you like anyone else? Me: no Her: so who DO you like? Me: nobody, actually myself right now haha Her: not even me? Me (in a joking way): nah bitch Her: wow (she knew it was a joke) I joked with the answer so she didn't have a definitive yes or no. after a bit she started crying. She said she misses me alot and she just doesn't want me to hate her after I get over her and I say I'm already a good ways over her and I don't hate her. she says she doesn't want me to hate her because she still has so much love for me, not romantic love but love and that she feels like she fucked everything up. I wasn't cold but I didn't comfort her either, I said things along the lines of "yeah some of the days are tough but I hope you're okay otherwise" and "I'm not focusing on the blame game, I'm just moving forward" When she started full on crying she said she's going (we were otp) she probably expected me to tell her not to go when I heard her crying but I just said okay be safe and we hung up. I'm afraid. In all that sadness and missing me alot she still insists she has no romantic feelings for me. Is all hope lost? Details: together 5 years. Broke up 5 weeks ago. Stopped contacting her 2 weeks ago. Right before the breakup she admitted she had a crush on someone else.

My wife split with me a few weeks ago, is going away with the kids and her mom this weekend, and she said she wished she could just go there with me and have adult time.. i said" yeah lets make a plan to do that, maybe in a few months." She then after a few moments said maybe we could bring our teenager. I didn't say no, but I felt like telling her i would want it to be just us so we could use the trip to focus on our friendship, but i tried my best not to react at all. I left that, to be revisited We were also planning to do a nesting agreement, but i told her we should put that on hold and put working on our relationship on hold, that we should work on being friends. She reached out to hold my hand and was really excited to have that be the case. Im thinking that's a good sign.

I think I should give up. He's happy with his new relationship, and he's been telling me that he's essentially in love with her in way that he never loved me.

Hi Maggie, I understand that you might be doing a very tough decision. I understand where you are coming from and I respect your decision if you decide to move forward in life. As you know there are relationships that we can give a try saving and relationships that we have to let go. If you look deeper into our goals, our mission is to help people have the healthy relationship that they truly deserve. Whether it will be with an ex or with someone else in the future. If you are still feeling unsure about what to do I would recommend taking the time to think about what is important to you and how you want your life to be like. What do you want to achieve in life? What kind of relationship would make your life better? Sending more positive energies on your end.

I thought about this today, and in a way, I feel as if he's starting to show me more appreciation now, than he even did when we were together, but this is coming after he's been telling me how much better she is than me, and saying that he's so happy with her. He was telling me about how he's learning cursive, because it's so pretty. I clearly know where that inspiration came from (me, I'd assume). His handwriting is also one of the things I used to tease him about a bit. I'm going to be brutally honest, if there wouldn't have been any personal growth on his part, I would've been blocking him everywhere and moved on a long time ago. I kind of have to acknowledge that he's pretty different now from when he was back then, too.

We broke up just over 3 weeks ago. She had temporarily left the home for a week and a half before she moved back in. She lives on the other side of the house. I told her a week ago that I was going to buy a new bed and she was upset about it. She made a quick statement “well, it doesn’t matter because I’ll never be in it again “… well, we just had some amazing sex. I’m starting to see cracks in her armor. I’m not chasing her like I had been after the breakup first happened. I’m in a place where I have to be ok with walking away but that’s difficult to do when we still live together.

So clay are you saying when they begin getting cold feet (after they admit they love you) that you’re actually supposed to pursue them like no tomorrow? If they mention anything about “friends”, are we supposed to walk away and wish them well? Or do we try to navigate the friendship while treating it as it’s romantic? As you can guess, this happened to me. Her reasoning for “friends” was that she didn’t want to get confused. I interpreted this as she was seeing someone else and didn’t want to get her feelings tangled up with me. We never hung out after she pulled this, because i think she knew we can’t just be friends. Sexual chemistry is off the charts and we knew that we were gonna fuck if we hung out again

When I send flirty, sometimes sexual texts to my ex, he doesn't respond, which I don't expect him to. What I want to know is, if he isn't interested surely he would tell me to stop...
