5 Carry Guns That Idiots Will Buy in 2022

In this video, I’ll talk about what in my opinion are the Top 5 Carry Guns that are pointless to buy in 2022. Just as a quick heads up, if you purchased any of these five models and you don’t like that sinking feeling called buyer’s remorse, feel free not to watch this video. With all that out of the way, let’s begin.

This site is constantly shitting on the .40 S&W claiming it is a dying round. Although it may not be as popular as it once was it is far from going away, and it can still outperform 9 mm in terms of power and ballistics. I don't think the guy running this site knows shit about firearms, because he is constantly giving wrong info and pieces together clips form others. I'm by far no expert on firearms, but I seem to know more than this guy does.

I have had a 365 for several years now, taken it to the range so many times and ran hundreds of rounds though it without even one single failure... for the cost, accuracy(which is the most important factor) and an added extended capacity magazine IMO is one of the best CC pistols ever made.

I was with you up until the end. I have both the G3C and the GX4 and I can tell you that there’s a world of difference in how these two feel, carry, and shoot. I can’t speak to another’s experience but mine has been flawless so far. The trigger on my sample is much better than the G series. Granted, it doesn’t have the double strike feature but I will happily give that up for the trigger. Carry wise, I easily pocket carry the GX4 where I have to belt carry the G3C. Finally, the ergonomics, in particular the grip texture, is much better on the GX4 IMO.

That’s a puerile observation that neglects to acknowledge that once you decide to carry a gun, there are bad ones, good ones, and better ones that you can opt to carry. It is not the case that as long as you’re carrying _a_ gun, it doesn’t matter which gun it is. Sure, if you don’t have access to a decent one, and a sort of crappy one is all you can get, and you do carry it, you’re better off than if you carried nothing. But no one is making the argument that “nothing” is better than a crappy gun.

A good conceal carry is reliable and you can hit something with it. As long as the pistol serves its purpose you are good. I carry an LCP, I pray I never have to use it but I train with it regularly and it never jams never causes issues. My first shot is usually center mass at 3 yards. If you can hit your target at that distance and it doesn't jam you are good. Anyone who doesn't understand this is a fool. Your comment is 100% correct.

I can see the truth about Taurus not having the best quality control at times. But I do carry a GX4 and love it. I wanted the metal inserts in the frame that give it more regidity against the slide and can compete with the P365. The version I got came standard with 4 mags, 2 flush and 2 extended. The issues I've seen in reviews with failure to feed stems from people reloading. Once switched to regular box ammo the issues went away. I guess time will tell.

P365X Macro does not render the standard P365/X/XL obsolete. The X Macro is "only 0.9 inches" longer in the grip, i.e. nearly as long as a Glock 17 grip. Many people, myself included, simply cannot effectively conceal a handgun that large without making significant changes to fashion and lifestyle which, frankly, isn't worth an extra 5 rounds in my opinion. 12 rounds of 124gr HST is plenty for me, and if I decide that I want more, I just carry a 15rd spare mag, which is much easier to conceal than having 15/17 in the gun.

Something I've learned from concealed carrying daily. Barrel length has much less significance than grip length and width. The only reason for a shorter barrel length, is if you plan to conceal your pistol in a coat pocket or cargo shorts pocket (or if you're a very small person). I own the Taurus G3 and the Taurus G3c. The pistols are identical except for barrel length and grip length. I'm 6 feet tall, and I'm also a large guy. For me, it's actually more comfortable to appendix carry the longer barrel pistol. My custom holster maker actually told me this would be the case. Since I have XXL hands, the G3c is difficult to shoot. The G3 isn't. I find that the only times I carry the G3c, is in the summer, when I'm wearing cargo shorts, or times when I'm so sick, I'm wearing track pants instead of jeans, and I'm putting the pistol in my winter jacket pocket. I fully understand there are small people out there who need shorter barrels. Those people typically have smaller hands, so the short grip doesn't bother them. To be honest, I have buyers remorse over my Taurus G3c. I should have figured out it was way too small for my body and hands. It has its rare uses, like I mentioned, but I literally carry it less than 1% of the time.

That said, hopefully those limits will fall in the next few years, as other 2A limitations have fallen. We'll see. The G3c does have its uses, like putting it in my winter jacket pocket. I can shoot it okay. I just have to concentrate, because it's tiny in my hands.

I own a Taurus GX4 because my primary carry Canik TP9 Elite SC doesn't quite fit in my pocket so easily with a Sig Romeo Zero and O' light on it definitely has to go on the waste band. I have about 300 rounds of 124 grain FMJ through the GX4 and have had zero issues with it. at 10 yards it is very accurate. I carry it as a backup to the Canik. Price wise I got the GX4 with a red laser on it for 299.00. The Canik was also a steal at 359.00 minus red dot and light. I loved the Canik SC so much I went out and got a full sized Mete which is a tack driver. It's not a concealed carry as the barrel is 5.25 inches but it is a good range gun and SHTF open carry. At the range I use a Mil spec tanker shoulder holster made for the 1911 and the Canik slides right in there. I have owned several compact nines in the past and the Canik SC is better than all of them. The trigger in the Canik puts other striker fired pistols to shame. Not a compact but the most accurate pistol I own is a SAR K12 Sport X. It is a CZ 75 clone made in Turkey. It can use CZ 75 mags and I run the CZ SP01 mags in it. One big chunk of stainless steel, single action trigger like the Browning Hi Power, iron sites, easy to rack and deadly accurate.

I was actually gifted a G48. I find it incredibly comfortable for myself personally, you do raise a good point in regards to the shorter length of the 43x in comparison of the 48. A valid complaint, I chose to pick up a 43x slide and assembly, and they are completely interchangeable. If I feel like going to the range and want a slightly longer barrel, on goes the 48 half. Maybe I want a little easier time concealing? On goes the 43x half.

Just get the right tool for the job. The P365 sold me because of its narrow profile. There really aren't any competitors in its range. Overall weapon 'narrowness' really makes a difference for concealed carry. You'll not have to make wardrobe changes to accommodate it. Which means it'll fit under anything. You can wear it with a business suit, track suit, gym gear, bunny costume, whatever. It's even comfortable worn inside those velcro break security shirts (under arm.) The P365 has been a gem for me. I've put 5,000+ rounds through and haven't encountered any problems. If the grip length is a little short, which it was for me, simply carry extra magazines in the expanded length. The whole purpose was to have something accessible for immediate emergency use that won't interfere with your daily routine. ~simple

Longer slide, taller profile, $300 more, caters to a completely different need. Also, I just bought a Taurus GX4 for $289.95 from a local gun store, and Taurus is running a $50 rebate promo, making it a sub $250 gun. Just because Sig Sauer "cannibalized" the 365, didn't all of a sudden lesson those features that make it an awesome CC gun. I've always tried to teach accuracy over round count. As for S&W's M&P Shield EZ, they were on track with a gun that beginners can easily load and rack was something the industry needed to address for older or weaker people that want to defend themselves. What I found very quickly yes our students were able to load and rack them as advertised. But when they drew from a holster, many did not manage to grip the safety enough to get that first shot off. Their performance center saw that as a problem and addressed it, somewhat. Still not my cup of tea.

There’s a lot of advantages of the 48 over a 43 for those who can conceal the added length. Every time there is an increase in dwell time there is an increase in reliability, or at the potential, longer barrels especially on the shorter side get better velocity and more complete powder burn. Since the tagline of this video refers to “idiots”, let me include the maker of the video as one! Let’s point out why. LCP2 is much lighter than max and can can use a 7 round mag and one in chamber. If you want the approximate weight and size of the max with 10 rounds, step up to sig 365 9mm, as it’s just a tad more of each and you have 9mm stopping power. Moving on, the 365 is smaller, lighter, and cheaper than the macro, and you can optionally get higher cap mags. Hellcat is my favorite of the bunch, as i carry it with 15 round mags and it’s still small and lightweight and great sights and trigger, but Taurus gx4 is a perfectly acceptable nice micro 9 at nearly half the cost! I own all these guns myself. I prefer the hellcat, but all have their place. I use the sig or hellcat for daily carry, gx4 in glove compartment so if it gets stolen it’s not a big $$ loss, and carry lcp 2 during hot florida summer days where pocket carry is a must. The only two I agree with is the glock 48 and the smith, both too large for small ammo capacity now with all the micro guns on the market. This video puts everything in black and white, no caveats I mentioned, and is just plain misleading.

Many not be the best idea for all but I have found if you do this it will effect what you buy and whether or not you will be happy an become proficient with that particular weapon. There are also safety feature you need to know before you purchase a weapon depending upon how you intend to carry this weapon.

The Supreme Court Ruled that a person does NOT need a license to exercise the RIGHT to bear arms and that the RIGHT to bear arms ALSO covers the RIGHT to bear arms Outside the home Concealed. They also ruled in a separate case that guns do Not require serial numbers and that people have the Right to buy, sell or build their own firearms without a serial number and even ruled that states cannot make it illegal to have a gun without a serial number and that even people carrying guns with "obliterated serial numbers" can not be charged for it. The ONLY thing that was upheld was the charge of a "felon with a gun"... so the person charged had the non-serialized gun thrown out, but he was still convicted for being a felon in possession of a firearm. I have shot the LCP and the max, I have not shot the most recent LCP but for the two earlier versions I found them very uncomfortable to shoot. There are times where I have to be able to conceal completely and for that purpose I have chosen the Keltec P32. Yes it is a weaker cartridge and still has the same problem of being a very small gun, but it is much more enjoyable to fire so I get more practice with it and that is a very important consideration. Small guns are a real challenge to master and practice is critical.

I have the perfect pistol for me, the Sig P229. Perfect weight, perfect grip, very natural point of aim, that fits me. That's the trick, finding one that fits you that has a large capacity. Great info!!

The fact that it’s still sold today 30 years after it’s release is a testament to its design and reliability. I’m a polymer striker fired kinda guy, but the 226/229/238 hold a special place in my heart

I have a gx4 and I love it. I don't have a ton of money so it's very affordable option. I took the risk with Taurus's quality control and it paid off because I've put hundreds of rounds through it with not a single malfunction. I don't know if your purpose was to get a reaction from the people who own any of these guns with that rude title but I've lost respect for your Channel.

I recently bought the Taurus GX4 XL, DS 11 + 1 Rounds, and it's nice. So far I've ran a lil' over 200 rounds thru it.

I have had the 43x and the 48. For sure the 48 is easier to shoot fast and put accurate shots. It is only a bit longer but is much more accurate and has substantially less muzzle rise. The 48 conceals the same as the 43x. The 1/2” on the slide isn’t much. This guy has not shot them SXS or his opinion would be different.

the glock 48 was my first glock i like it feels good in the hands and its longer barrel makes it more accurate than the 43 or the 43x so idk what you got it on this list as a dumb gun it was a good buy

IDIOTS??? Hmmm....I thought this was a free nation where you choose what you wanted to purchase. No need to label. Personal preference & research is very much an individual thing -not suitable for all tastes. Good points are made, though.

@Peter Angles Ahh...but you are providing an opinion about the product -which is OK....rather than saying that Taurus owners are idiots. I do own a PT-92 and it has digested 1000's of rounds without a hiccup. However, it was fab'd on Beretta equipment, which Taurus purchased, when Beretta pulled up stakes in Brazil 30 years ago. I do agree with you though -my PT-92 notwithstanding. I would NEVER own a different Taurus.

Ha e had a G3c for a few years now and the only complaints are the Glock style take down buttons and how far the trigger goes before contact. Those things were changed on the GX4, however there is a trigger upgrade available for the G3c to fix the travel. Love my G3c, thousands of rounds through it and haven't had a problem yet....yes, even steel rounds.

Honestly there are 2 guns I carry regularly. Glock 42 in the summer. Mainly because I just shoot well with it and I somehow accumulate. 380 ammo. (I never seem to get low on it.) The other is the glock 43X for winter. I'm a small frame guy so anything close to full size just sticks out. The 43X is a great shooting gun, I got it for a great price, and it's cheap to feed since I reload 9mm frequently.
