The #1 Most Accurate Rifle You're Probably Overlooking

So you're in the market for your first precision rifle, or maybe your first so called "sniper rifle," right? Well, today we’re gonna break down our top picks for your first precision rifle. Now, there are only a couple of budget options on this list, but if you're on a budget, the first smart move is to hit up the used market.
Seriously, this is a goldmine that most folks don't really consider. We all start thinking, 'Okay, I'm gonna buy brand new. How much dough do I have?' Like, I've got 400 bucks to spare, what rifle does that get me?' Well, it could snag you a Savage Axis II. But hold up, you might also luck out and score a seldom used Savage 110.
8. Savage Axis II
7. Savage 110 Tactical
6. CZ557 Varmint
5. Howa Oryx
4. Bergara B14 HMR
3. Tikka UPR

I appreciate the focus on precision rifles. The used market tip is gold - you can find some real gems if you know where to look. Personally, I've had great experiences with Savage and Ruger rifles, but that Tikka TAC A1 taking the top spot doesn't surprise me.

Most people could get by easily with a lever action or bolt action classic rifle, either wood or synthetic. All the "you can be a sniper too" tactical jargon is mostly marketing, along with all the equipment junk that goes with it, all of it sending a metal projectile down range the exact same way as the traditional rifle does.

Wow, I looked at all those rifles this past month! Considering I'm only shooting paper for now, I ended up going with a Ruger American Rifle GEN II (Standard) in 6.5 CM which didn't make your list. I have to say it's not a bad rifle, I know there is a lot of people that don't like the Ruger American Rifles but I'm very happy with my purchase. Thanks for sharing....

@@terrybrennan2534 How about 45-70. Or a Wild Catted version of it. Guy from New Zealand put the 45-70 and the 45-90 (could've been the 45-100. Been a bit since I saw the video) into a Precision Bolt Gun. Was blasting Steel at 1500 to 3000 Yards. Them Creedmoor Target Shooters way back when were doing that with those Cartridges using Iron Sight Sharps Rifles. Not as far, but they could've if the Sharps had been Modded using Modern Parts and even Modern Precision Shooting Concepts.

Firstly: no offence, but as a veteran gunsmith, I’ll advice you if buying any ‘used’ rifles anywhere inside North America, especially here in 🇨🇦 is basically equally to playing Russian roulette, because of the general lack of proper gun-maintenance, so make sure to have these rifles bores checked out by a professional with a borescope! Frankly, wether paid for it or not; you are in fact delivering free advertising on behalf of Savage and are meanwhile advising future customers into buying one of the worst rifle-designs on the market! Despite this unfortunate ill-fated advice: for the rest of it, you seem to be close to being spot-on the money! However, the pictured rifle model is not shown, nor being discussed, so Savage clickbait at best!
