Happy to see Bergara adding to their lineup and paying attention to the consumer. Let's face it, most will ditch a factory stock for a replacement immediately, so no big deal with it only comming as a barreled action. Thanks Josh, looking forward to round 2 🫡

I just put together one of these, threw it in an aero solus chassis with a triggertech diamond and a Bushnell match pro ED, and bolt shims. I'm currently trying to find ammo that shoots well in it. So far, I've tried SK rifle match, Eley target, Eley club, and CCI green tag. My results pretty much mirror yours. I'll have to try some of the RWS and Lapua when i can get my hands on them. Not really a lot of that stuff available to me locally, so I'll have to hunt some down online. Thanks for the info!

I got one from the first batch. I love this b14r heavy. I have it in a foundation stock/Hawkins bottom metal and with a Trigger Tech Diamond. So far, its shoots SK Rifle pretty good. It shoots RWS R50 slightly better. SK Long Range shoot the same as the SK Rifle. Have not tested any Lapua or Eley yet. I'm running a Vortex Strike Eagle 5x25 and I'm using my Carbon barrel B14r's bolt with a Crossroads Precision shroud and spring. I bought the shim kits but have not used it yet. I figured I'd try different ammos first to weed out the bad ones it don't like.

Id also like ot see the aim point an inch under the impact point...so your aim point is never deteriorated. I'm interested in the heavy barrel option. Might be nice if they offered a barreled action without a trigger too. Looking forward to this upcoming series on this rifle... Many thanks..

I’ve found that when switching ammo, maybe 10 ‘fouling’ shots of the new ammo before each test group yield a more representative test group. Usually, all decent ammo shoots reasonably well at 50 yards or so, but really show accuracy, or lack of, at 100+ yards.

That Bergara B-14R went up in price but "that's par for the course" when it get as popular as it did (shoots well). Saving $400 dollars towards your favorite stock sure helps though, way to go Bergara! Even though I think these stocks are way over priced, part of it was Covid and the rest is me getting old and not getting more money myself! You don't seem to have any issue with the magazine like Joe, he was cussing up a storm. (Nothing new for him but...) Joe shot Eley team (plus some cheaper SK I think he has a video if you could find it)and it did well but I think that each barrel is different if I understand correctly how picky these rifles are.

Sad part is my regular barreled b14r shoots better than this heavy version from what i have seen so far. But on the other side of it my vudoo took about 700 rounds down the pipe before it really started killing it. The heavy barrel might have the same issue.

I disagree with this. The chamber or a "loose" chamber has little to no influence on a 22lr surprisingly. I have built many rifles with Bentz chambers that win ARA competitions weekly

@EagleEyeShooting how can I not agree with you here. You built mine and it's a freaking hammer.

I think you’re full of it. Gun didn’t perform bad. Even custom match grade barrels with super tight chambers like certain ammo. Its rimfire
