I recommend the UUQ rifle optics coming with both red/green dot, green laser, magnifier, and light. Adds weight but comes with all the attachments.

Would use the zip ties around the whole hand guard or smaller zip ties around the mlok openings. For the charging handle, ambi are great - for the emergency option of your down to a single arm or to use an object to help charge your rifle. You ALWAYS want to keep your dominant hand on the grip/trigger guard in case you needed to engage. Last observation, when able try out / think about a 2 pt sling. Reason, if you needed to pick something/someone up and you let your rifle hang, you’re going to rack yourself or beat the hell out the person/thing you’re trying to drag clear. Or bang the crap out the rifle / yourself if climbing/moving over objects. But hey man, welcome to AR world and enjoy!

I did try the small zip ties around the mlok first. Great point about the 2 point sling. Thanks for the thoughtful advice.

That one point sling will turn your gun into a Luisville Slugger and it will treat your balls as balls. I suggest a 2 point quick adjust sling .

The problem with 2 point is people putting the second point too far forward. It can get in the way of mag reloads. Also, the closer the points are the easier it will be to get it out the way if you need.

I have 2 of this same AR and got my dad one a couple Christmas ago.they are great starting guns.like you said you can upgrade as you go and still be under a grand.mine are setup couple different ways but they both have a La Rue trigger($100) and a micro best BCG,still looking at barrel upgrade the stock still shoots fine.i like the magnetic or stealth recoil springs also.Radical does have a lifetime warranty also if you ever have issues you can’t fix that’s nice.

@@TheAverageFather I don't see the use for strobe. The possibility of needing constant and strobing on accident is my main reason. I prefer the simplicity of high only on any weapon light rifle/pistol.

I have tried different magnifiers and they all pretty much have shorter eye relief. Nice looking gun. I'd pretty much just run it and learn it then make upgrades. Adjustable gas block, buffer weight, spring, muzzle brake. I'm big on lessening recoil first.

If you find yourself moving the stock too much, move the magnifier forward. You have a few pic slots to do so. If worse comes to worst move the red dot forward and re-zero. Looks like yours is as far as I'd go with it though, perhaps a different red dot mount to give it a bit more forward bias so that the magnifier can move closer to it. This will allow you to position the stock in the perfect position for you. It can be cumbersome doing this, especially after thinking you have it just right, but it is what it is. If you want triggers, Geissele having a Blem sale for 4th of July through the 9th. Got me some SSA-E X lightning bow triggers for "cheap." The SSA-E is only 122$!
