I have oil in my coolant,only in coolant and no fuel or coolant in oil like when the seals on the injectors leak. So far I have advice that either oil cooler leaking,turbo leaking or head gasket.im kind of ruling out head gasket as no coolant in oil and no visible oil or water leaking around head. What do you think

I also have a trooper with a 4jx1 engine. i think i might have the same problem with my oil pressure. The scanner only said i have an issue with one of the fuel injectors which i have then replaced with a surplus unit. But despite doing that my RPM is still going down whenever I start the engine or i'm idle tho the rpm goes back to normal and the chugging noise eventually disappears when i start running the car and revving the engine. I've been to different mechanics but they can't find a definite problem.

Not many people understand the heui, my mate is spare parts manager at the local dealership, the mechanics run and hide in the dunnies when they see a jack rolling in on a tilt tray. 😅 I hope I can learn all about these wonderful engines. Temperamental bastards though. 🙄 1.5 years of no issues at all, trying to not get demoralised

You might know the solution to my issue, when my ac turns on, the idle sometimes drops a bit, need to tap the accelerator a bit to increase the idle, there are times in compensate on it own!! Thanks

I found mine didn't change at all when I turn the AC on like other vehicles, especially the Toyota Celica ST185CS, Japanese Nippon Denso system, drained power from engine when activated. Doesn't seem to drain hp at all with my 4jx1. 🤔👍🏻

hi, thanks, good tip, my 4jx1 was starting just fine but needed to remove the intake manifold because build up of sludge. I put it back together but its not starting. initially it almost start and run for maybe 1 second, but now, just turns over. Maybe air in fuel line? I bleed just the lines but still no start?? Any ideas. Thanks

Make sure the battery is fully charged because this 4jx1 need a fast cranking.

@@DiYSpanner Hello, thanks again, let me just say that, thanks. So i mentioned that i cleaned up the intake manifold and engine starting ok now. I had mentioned that the Bighorn is smoking, especially when cold in the morning, as it warms up, 10 minutes later or so, it is less but more than when you fix the Troopers online. I had an error code P0118 as engine light has always been on, that relates to coolant temp sensor. I bought a replacement sensor but before inserting i decide to test my old sensor again, this time old sensor reads ok, about 4,000 ohms at 22 deg C. Engine light is ON at ignition BUT off for a few seconds after start engine then on again. Temp Sensor seems ok now, maybe bad contact, unable to do a new test with engine test device now. But smoking same as before still. any ideas what next to look at? UPDATE: I have reconnected the EGR, i had previously disconnected the hose leading to it. The engine struggles to rev up and smokes heavily as was situation before manifold cleaning. Disconnect the EGR and the engine runs smoothly with significantly less smoke. UPDATE: IF I remove the turbo hose just before intake manifold, engine doest rev beyond 2000 rpm, light grey smoke. All other times, dark grey smoke.

Hi sir, have you experience about trooper 4Jx1 no ground supply coming from Ecm?the Ecm relay 2 no ground coming from J1 10 also the check engine light and when I hook up a scanner no communication sir?they are cranking but no engine start..all the negative in sensors wire coming from Ecm no ground

hey man ecm in this car very easy to short outand damage, have learnt the hard way!!

4JX1T is it using running by T-belt or T-gear sir?

T-belt.

I'm going to cut my white wire tomorrow, I'm sick and tired of not having it start. 😔 Hopefully it's the problem 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Wasn't the issue, bloody thing stuck out the front of my house, no idea. Mongrel thing, very strange. I've day runs perfectly, next day nothing.. Then nothing... and again nothing 😮‍💨

Can u help me to fix my car I have isuzu trooper 4jx1 engine and now my car engine after start in ideal RPM have to much knocking sound and vibration and in higher RPM no more knocking sound. when I check fault code with scanner. The code coming is P0193 rail pressure sensor but engine is start.

DIY Spanner what should i do if i get that trouble on orps cranking but not starting what i seen in the video was you cut off the white wire and connected an extension wire you didnt show where did you connected that end of the extension wire you made, i hope you answere and explain briefly my question . I had experienced that already and i was reaced . Thanks a lot , GOD BLESS YOU !

Connect it to the other end of the white wire. I cut the white wire and add another wire as extension to the opposite ends of the cut wire. I just extend the white wire outside the harness to easily disconnect it whenever the ORPS fail. Thank you for watching sir!

DIY Spanner sorry ! sir i can not understand the logic you cutted off the white wire then you connected up with the same white ( as like you jumpered out ) in nothing you connect in series with the both end of white wire . Sorry ! i may believe that you can start the engine of 4jx1 with a bad oprs if you jumper out the input signal that coming out of the oprs. Please ! explain to me very well how you did to start 4jx1 engine with bad oprs , i much interested with that because as i said before i had alread experienced to get stranded because of that bad OPRS . THANKS & REGARDS !

Irineo De leon I did the same thing, the check engine lights up when you disconnect the “jumper cable” but it runs and no surging rpm. Runs as normal except for the check engine... my trooper some how when I did that and connect back the cables, it runs fine too. What could be the issue on my car? Still I’m gonna replace the orps when I have a chance. Do you know how much it will cost me?... thank you!

Maybe the ORPS of your 4jx1 is good and have other problem sir.

Boos sa akin pag cold start ang engine. 1 click start agad Pag mainit na ang engine at start ulit nag flashing ang check trans malakas ang crank ayaw mag start ano kaya problema ? 4jx1 engine

How abuot start engine after start no more deisel can supply plese help

Sir tanong ko lang po yong sakin 4jx1 trooper din ano kaya possible issue dahil pag off ko ng engine nong e start ko sana uli ayaw na mag start sabi starter daw nong inayos na starter ayaw padin,sinubukang paikutin matigas sya sir ayaw umikot ano kaya possible cause sir.?

Yong 4jx1 na nagawa namin, pinalitan din ng injector sleeve oring, mahirap nga siya paandarin pagkatapos. Kailangan malakas talaga ang baterya para mapaandar.

Sir mag-check engine ba yan pag naka-on ang susi?

@@DiYSpanner ah ok po. Wala kasing check engine ung sa akin. Ayaw mag-start hindi lang nagamit ng 2 araw. Na-bleed ko na rin fuel pump at na-disconnect ko hose kung sumisipsip at nagbubuga, ok nmn.

Iba problema ng 4jx1 mo boss. Try mo muna check ang fuel filter at dapat malakas din ang baterya during cranking.

Sir patulong nman po.. pag nag start na engine po ng troopee after ilang second pinapatay nya yung engine.. pano po kaya gagawin dito

Yung line na papunta sa enjector may diessel pero pag dating sa enjector wala ano kya problema nun sir

Kailangan pa rin palitan sir, temporary fix lng sya at testing na rin sa ORPS.

Check mo na rin level ng engine oil at dapat malinis ang fuel filter.

Sir 4jx1 din akin bigla nalang namatay makina wala nman kahit anong warning sa dashboard habang tumatakbo. May cranking pero di mag start. Patulong nman po
