A guy faked a murder posted it to 4 chan pretended to investigate his own fake murder - Gets murdered and eaten by a gang of canibal homeless guys who happen to bed down in his fake murderspot - interesting if true!

I know this is a very old video now but I have lived in Elizabethton all of my life and know the exact building that was talked about in the posts. It’s an old factory called The Bemberg, it’s considered a supposedly “haunted” place by a lot of people who live around here. It’s located near a Walmart in a decently populated area. There is a large fence surrounding the building and it’s very damaged and used to have dogs and a lot of homeless people in it. My guess is “op” and Alex were the same person. There was never a report of a missing person named Alex or a death around that time.

The part about this story that has always creeped me the fuck out is that I'm from the area and know roughly where the creepy guy's coordinates are. Its about 20 minutes from where I used to live, one town over. Ive always had a macabre interest to go to the place, drive past it, ask around about it, etc., but you ain't gonna catch me around there-- hell no. I'm from a town in TN that's only about 20 or 30 minutes away from Elizabethton, TN. I can assure you that nobody from this area is gonna go take someone up on the offer to show up to a random abandoned place in the middle of nowhere. That's a good way to get killed and robbed. Alex was definitely the guy who made the original post.

12:00 Imagine if while running around doing his 'test' Nexpo actually randomly got murdered by like some rando who didn't even have anything to do with him and so didn't get to upload this video, leaving us with only these out of context videos on his twitter. Then we all spent the next 100 yrs trying to solve this mystery of his death using these videos as evidence unaware they're just to make fun of a fake 4chan post ultimately leaving us and investigators at a deadend

In regards to the time discrepencies with Alex's posts, I'd also like to argue the case that the timespans are too short for someone exploring an unknown place. The fact that he keeps finding new stuff relitively quickly almost suggests that he knows what he is looking for and so is not really there for the first time. Even the most tiny abandoned places take me ages to pour over, and this appears to be a huge warehouse complex.

I literally solved this 5 mins in. Came to the same conclusion as Nexpo. Video shoulda been called "4Channer fails to make a convincing ARG". I wouldnt agree that this is a creepy mistery at all.

Another theory Alex did visit and was fine, the posts were made from his house he had just taken the pictures before hand

Even less likely option 3: Alex went, took pics for later, got ganked, killer uploaded it because it tickles his pickle.

I went to the coordinates in the "destination" bar, that is actually a Walmart, paved parking lot. It's not the photo that's posted at the 2:07 mark, AT ALL. I hope that insight helps.

I think a couple things that you missed that make the second theory more valid is the language Alex uses, and the lack of autocorrect. For the language part, Alex talks in abrupt sentences, similar to how 2q8 did. You could argue that is due to him trying to publish the posts quickly to get onto the next one, but I don't think that's likely--- ---And that brings me to my next point, the lack of autocorrect. Like you said, the time between posting is incredibly short. Alex doesn't use autocorrect and while he could have disabled that in settings, it doesn't really make sense to do that on your phone since its very easy to make mistakes due to the small keyboard. If he was typing in his phone and not using autocorrect he would be making a ton of mistakes (of which he doesn't), and he'd have to manually change the lettering each time he posts (like removing capitalisation at the start of a sentence). He would have no time to do that in 15 seconds between posting. My guess is Alex is 2q8, and he took these photos on his phone and published them from his computer. That way there he could easily have them on hand and ready to post. Maybe he even had the captions typed up on a word document ready for each image uploaded? The only thing that could solidify this theory would be the Exif data from the photos, but I doubt those have been saved.

I hear the Rage Comics got him. That's why neither has been seen since.

yeah, plus, its not as mobile friendly as there is no app for it. And replying and posting isn't easy in general. but especially on the phone, you'd have to zoom in and click the buttons a couple times for it be selected. Plus this was 2013 when the best smart phone was an HTC one or an iPhone 5s. Anyways, for that time to be achieved, the pictures had to all be ready and posted through a computer with fast wifi. Another factor is that Nexpo just took random photos and wrote the first thing that came to his mind. In real life, he would have to assess the situation, know what he is looking at, be extremely cautious, move room to room, take photos, and upload them with description. Its just impossible Its as if Alex/OP wanted everyone to know it was fake
