I love how the owner of this channel gives us all the stereotipical horror stuff while he acts like hes just tired. Basically the owner of this channel tells us "here you have scary things. Now scream". The way he acts natural and the creepy effects like the ambient music in the first episode and showing its source is hilarious ans scary at the same time, and the special effects always make my heart skip a bit.

"Constraint" DOES have to do with the video. He says "Your first instinct will be to look away, but you shouldn't." Not doing what you want to do in favor of what you should do is exercising "constraint."

The beautiful thing about video/film analysis. Your interpretation of it is just that yours. I don't believe you can ever be wrong, and neither can anyone else who analyzes it. It's all a piece of the puzzle.

This reminded me of an old belief in my hometown, as killing someone was quite common in the old days of Mexican revolution. My grandpa used to tell me that whenever you kill someone, their spirit would come to haunt you for 3 nights. The first two it would make you feel remorse, but at the third one it just act grateful and it would thank you, since whenever you kill someone, you take the burden of their sins from their back and you add them to your own.

I’m surprised you never covered AlanTutorial, it’s so good I hate to think about it getting lost to time!

I'd describe this as pure theatre. An exquisite piece of postmodern experimental film. An unflinching look at the dark reality of serious mental illness. The whole thing is constructed with such surgical precision that it really does feel plausible. This filmmaker has a talent and I'd like to see what other projects he'll take on.

ARG elements aside, I feel like there's some meta commentary about youtubers here. The vlog, the tutorials, the house tour, reuploading other videos, talking about "not needing this negativity" from viewers... and with a name like POSTcontent it doesn't seem like much of a stretch.

It does feel more meta than ARG. There are plenty of hidden things to pick up on, but there's just no codes that one would typically see in ARGs.

@@Livi_Noelle I mean, it could be both. DHMIS was both a sort of ARG and a commentary on children's edutainment, though of course that had way higher production value. The actions of the protagonist are the commentary more so than the horror elements. The fact that he's showcasing such things in such a vapid and emotionless manner and seems pretty in line with a lot of YT content nowadays. It seems like its trying to say something about the lack of genuine humanity in a lot of youtube content, and is mocking the samey bs most channels post by putting this bizarre supernatural horror juxtaposition on it by having somebody forced to make content like all the other crap here. All of these terrifying things are treated like mundane situations to get content from. Also, I think the use of Logan Paul may or may not be a reference to the whole suicide forest thing, and would probably be a decent explanation for the arrogance in later vids.
