For anyone wondering, the Japanese kanji on his shirt - 弱肉強食, jaku niku kyou shoku - transliterates to "the weak are meat, the strong will eat." Essentially, it means "survival of the fittest" or "law of the jungle" in English.

Thor is deadlifting without a suit or figure of 8 straps and just pulled 410kg for an easy two. Now he's going to start ramping up the upcoming weeks to something huge. Guarantee he will hit another suited deadlift over 500kg in the next year. Hicks can pull 505kg hopefully but I can't see it lasting long if he does.

Hicksy, if you pull 505 kg and are itching to get back to Strongman why not try and add the Shaw Classic title of Strongest Man on Earth to go with the 505kg and then smash the Log WR. Secure a second path to success in strength sports for the athletes. Pave the way and show them how to monetize it.

Listening to commentary on your Official Strongman vid. Repping out 1000lbs, could trigger an injury?, not better to work up to a fast easy single of say 475? This is what Thor did before his pull. Think he doubled at 440 then single at 470, then 501 in comp. Be in the game and injury free. Rooting for you. 👍

Sounds a plan. I'm trying to work out myself on how to peak this. I'd say 435x3 455x2 and 475x1. The bigger problem I'd say is not peaking too soon as he's well ahead of schedule. I'd say he needs a mini peak soon then drop back down and build again??
