Yes indeed. I think whoever created this slightly odd video (no Centurion??) confused the Anglo-German EKE project, which is linked with the Black Prince upgrade for the Chally 2, with the Franco-German MGCS partnership. Having said that, it's quite likely that the UK will join MGCS, and pretty soon (if allowed ;)

Good video overall. I've seen other videos that compared the KF51 Panther and Abrams X there definitely comparable, but KF51 had better protection, a missle launcher, and a bigger main gun with more range and lethality they both use the latest electrics with AI and open-systems that can be upgraded the Abrams X did have a hybrid engine that the Panther didn't but we'll see soon enough both great tanks also I believe the EMBT is a joint German/French tank not British

It's not always about one being necessarily better. Sometimes, one may be better in certain environments or types of missions! There's many joint exercises where many Western tanks and other types of military equipment are compared, and they are all on the same side! So you implying that we shouldn't compare them because they are both NATO doesn't make sense!

Larger bullet doesn't mean better range though, the shell must be large enough to store more energy for the bullet to travel further due to increased mass, and idk abt what shells will panther use

I don’t quit understand why Abraham’s x is in first place, when the embt and pantherkf51(130mm>120mm) isn‘t developed yet. Also, france and Germany wanted to build a new tank in 2035 - 2040 (I think it’s the embt, so Britain dont is in this project) and much more things will come up by other nations or are planned. All modern tanks have more or less the same features at this point. The rankings seem rather arbitrary. The 99A is rank 15, but the VT4, its inferior export variant, is in rank 13?

Рейтинг довольно сумбурный . так как современная война показала что все танки умирают от Дронов собранных на коленках . что супер израильский танк дохнет от тандемного боеприпаса и что танк рассчитан только на климат и местность усредненно похожую на израильскую. И то что смешная сетка на российских танках в начале войны сейчас очень не смешная и хорошо работает против Дронов . и есть фото где на леопарды Челленджер и меркаву приделывают сетки на крышу.

I also suggest the various tanks and vehicles of the EDF games, from the humble Grape and Railgun, to larger tanks, to the great BALAM and BARGA giant mechsuits, the game series has some great fictional vehicles to cover, and all of them have models in the game files I'm sure

@@user-qt4vy5vt7kI’ve never heard that story of the leopard being beaten by a T-72 but It’s kinda easy to believe that because if the T-72 were to hit the leopard in the right area it could easily disable it, and it’s possible the T-72 crew was just better trained and had more experience. As you said even Cold War tanks can be equal to modern day ones if the crew is skilled enough.

The leclerc XLR doesn't use 125mm caliber. it still a 120mm with a future 140mm optionnal plateform.

Japan 74 tank prototype had a auto loader and remote weapon system but cost to much for its production tanks so t90 was the first operational

Not only tanks but also other japanese weapons are TOO expensive for their performance. Their productivity is very low in the military supply sector, so it leads to high prices. And their land weapons are built with only their terrain specialized, with no real experience in other countries‘ land conditions. japanese 99type artillery is proper example for that. no stupid country that would pay $2.1 million for one artillery that has poor self defense, specialized only in operations within japan land condition, and has no significant advantage over other tanks.

How the hell would you put the Abrams X wich don't exist next to non existing tanks while t-14 didn't even reach the top 5?

And placing the japanese Type 90 24th while the Leopard 2 is 29th makes no sense as the Leopard 2A4 and the Type 90 are basically the same tank, only with few diffences. 9:19 the Leopard 2A7+ is shown with an L44 gun. This is incorrect, as the last Leopard to have the short (L44) gun, was the 2A5. From the version 2A6 onwards they have only the longer L55 gun.

​@@Halogamething it is now improved to the C2 version and Italy have bought 100 Leopard 2A8 while waiting to developing the new MBT togheter with Germany. Leonardo will make optic and internal systems. Iveco makes the chassis, Reinmetall will make the gun system.

I would say that the kf 51 is on 1 because it is an actual mbt concept. Rather the Abrams x is not even a concept.

Maybe it's just me, but considering how a lot of these tanks are over 60 tons, I still say that a lot of these should really be classified as heavy tanks.

@@rhedosaurus2251 MBT´s combine the armor protection and firepower of heavy tanks, mobility of medium tanks and agility + recon capability of light tanks into one chassis. "Unitary tank" could also fit. Heavy tanks had low mobility, low agility but heavy armor and firepower. Medium tanks had good mobility and average firepower but lacked armor and agility. light tanks had agility and were easier to obscure from enemy vision, so they were better for recon or early light cavalry actions but lacked armor, firepower etc.

6:26 the Т84 is not in the service of the Ukrainian army. It could not be produced. The plan was drawn up in 2021 and not in 2009 ((if I'm not mistaken)) A total of 4 tanks were invented. As I noted, They were not put into production.

The T-84 is in service in Ukraine, and has seen fighting, including a report of one being damaged by a Lancet drone (however it's unconfirmed if it was a T-84 or T-80BVM). The T-84 Oplot-M, however, hasn't entered service. I believe that's the one that never got produced.

Panther (new german tank), Leopard 2 , Challenger are my favorites. While it's a great tank i don't like Abrams because it's way too popular and "clichè" idk if it makes sense.

the T-14 is the most advanced and most powerful Abrams X tank, it doesn't even stand next to either
