I don't know what direction I want my life to go, but I DO know I want to experience and feel ease, flow, peace, abundance, and freedom.......

I am in the exact same position on a new job after a sabbatical. I have no self-motivation to do this job, even for the good money. Its not even stressful, just don't desire to prove my value to these people. I am learning how to use my current resources and savings to live more freely until the magic retirement age. Then this job is history.

Then I wanted to bop around after the kid went to college - instead I got remarried and added MORE to my business. NOW I am parsing down the business so that I can work less, divorcing and I plan to bop around for at LEAST six month b/w U.S. and the rest of the world before buying a house.

I want to feel free, fulfilled, excited, abundant. I want to do the things I’ve always wanted to do but been too scared to get started on: Start a blog or write as a freelancer, start a podcast, start a moms group, find a community/village… I did what other ppl have always wanted me to do in my 20’s: Go to school get a degree (even though I didn’t like it, get a job, etc. but I’ve felt unfulfilled a good majority of my 30’s, I’m now 37 just relocated back to NC end of 2021 with my son. It’s always been on my bucket list to live on my own here. I’m trying to figure out what lights me up now that we are back and fills up my cup instead of depending on everyone else for my own happiness. Im at the point of my life where I just want to try instead of living in my fear of what could go wrong.

I had to fill my cup of worthiness. The pandemic was such a blessing for me in many ways. One was getting quiet and becoming familiar with my inner voice; reconnecting and healing the little girl in me. I went back and picked up the pieces of me. Dr. Thema's homecoming podcast was a powerful part of my process. So grateful for community. I also love what you said about achieving. At one point I was on a PhD track and I realized that it really had nothing to do with a PhD, it was about financial abundance. The Exodus Summit 2022 helped me embrace the possibility of higher earning without additional education, certification, or striving. Again, the worthiness. Being open to someone giving me feedback about my employment history and affirming me. Telling me that I was ready and able to earn a salary to fund my dreams and goals. This community is the bEST thing for liberated black women.

Unfortunately, I have to grind first at our current jobs and meet some goals to make our dream happen...so not too much rest right now. Sometimes, it's draining, but I am willing to sacrifice another year for a lifetime of rest, freedom and not relying on the traditional 9 to 5. I do take time daily to do things I love. Thank you, Stephanie!! 2 excellent things came out of this video for me: 1. Realizing I'm struggling with obtaining my Bachelors degree b/c it out of alignment with my goals. I alreay have and can access what I need with out it, time waster! Removing it to "do less." Also 2. Thank you for mentioning Dr. Thema, never heard of her, just looked her up, & I already know she will benefit me. The other points are also helping

I know this isn't a feeling, but I do want to feel ease. I feel like living in a major city, working a very fast paced job makes so much feel difficult. Grocery shopping, having to travel across town to a laundromat, just the simple, mundane things feel like such a heavy lift. Ease is the goal as I enter my 30s in the Fall.

You are so kind and thoughtful when you speak on your videos. Because of you reinventing YOUR life has made us believe we can do it also. Your first suggestion of “do less” is so significant. We have to make a paradigm shift from busy busy to sitting still with ourselves our thoughts is truly revolutionary. It was a pleasure meeting you and hanging out with black women with the same mindset. Appreciate your spirit. Diane A

I am so thankful to have found this community. Moving abroad was a thing that I up and decided after my father died last year and here I am about to do it! I was not about to let life pass me by any longer. I cannot stress enough the comfort and affirmation that comes with seeing other black women out here living their best lives!

I want to feel freeeeee! I want to do and not to keep watching other people do. I've been watching you for over 2 years now, Stephanie, and I'm so happy to say I've taken 2 major steps towards my freedom. No.#2 is I learned how to braid my own hair so concerns about doing my hair while living/traveling abroad are completely erased! I can just braid it and not fuss over it for months at a time. No#1 is that I had major surgery a week ago. This was surgery to free me from suffering I've endured for over 20 years. I've been so scared to do it and I was also seeking alternative treatments that, unfortunately, did not work for me. There was no way I would travel with the issues I had. I was riddled with fear and worry about pain and discomfort, AND about having to travel with everything I would need to deal with a crisis should one arise. I'm so committed to my freedom that it outweighed my fear of having surgery for the first time ever. I even let them perform both major procedures simultaneously instead of one now and one in a year. I was warned that, even though there was no risk to my health to do both procedures in the same surgery, I would be in excruciating pain and would have to be extra careful during the very vulnerable first week. I'm now just outside of that danger zone and am well on my way to healing. I did it! The thing that keeps me saying no whenever the opportunity to travel comes up is no longer a thing! I would not have done it if I wasn't watching you (and the others - Shida, Alecia Renee and Adalia) on repeat in my apartment. You have convinced me that the life I want and the way I want to feel are possible. My mind is so saturated with examples of those dreams coming true for other black women you've interviewed that it helped propel me past my fear and onto the surgery table. I'm going to keep watching your KZread channel and as soon as tickets for Exodus Summit 2023 and the Exodus Meetup 2024 are available, I'm going to jump all over it and try my best to be in attendance at both!! I have a few more shackles to break so that I can be free and one of them is the shackle of isolation and life-ing alone. I'm looking forward to finding community at Exodus Summit! Thanks, Stephanie!

I desire to have a life of peace but excitement, abundance and fully taken care of. I desire to have an overflow of $$$$$, paid for my complete worth; knowing I am prepared for the moment and the future. I desire to feel free and relaxed; unbothered by all the things that come with US-living, if you will. I desire to live in beautiful spaces, where I see myself in others with a thriving art community. I also desire not to worry about finances! -- wow I needed this exercise! Thank You!
