This was fantastic! The best of the podcast for me personally has always been you (and Ben in the past!) serving as role models for growth and learning about oneself. The first part, where you talked about "always having to run when afraid" is true for me, and I didn't realize it until now!

“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.” ― Frank Herbert, Dune

Yooo classic style Charisma on Command video where it's just Charlie talking to us straight up! And on another channel too LOL. And yes I would love more talking heads videos, it's what I started and learned the most from when I discovered your channel. I enjoy the celebrity breakdowns for the most part, but these feel more personal, intimate, and plausible for us average joes.

True charisma comes from taking responsibility for our mistakes and admitting we were wrong. That humility is very charismatic because of the authenticity. Kudos to you, Charlie.

Videos like this are really good I feel, because they bridge the gap between really good concepts like attacking your fears, and what can happen if that’s the only habit you learned to grow. Especially now in the world of online self-improvement, finding the right advice for your particular situation can be tricky and it’s very easy to get lost in how loud everything is, the flashy, cool sounding advice often can rise to the top quickly and be the loudest. Content like this is what we need more of

Wow. Rule #1 was really impactful to me. I grew up on Simple Pickup/Project GO content back in the day, and also later, you/Charisma on Command. I got into daygame, picking up girls, and beyond just dating, leaning into problem solving or going after what I want more than 95% of people. But now I don't know how to sit comfortably with things, to the point of having chronic stress at times from always trying to "solve" something.

I gotta say Charlie, from the deepest pits of my heart: Thank you. Just listening to you and Ben over the last 3 years has changed so much in me, to become more forgiving, more open minded, and of course, more confident and charismatic. Now I still have a long way to go, but right now I'm not saying that from a place of lacking, but from a place of excitement for what's to come. Again, Thank You. From the bottom of my ❤️

Outstanding video man. I literally took notes off of this one. I never comment on videos but here I am now. I am part of the majority who hide and never comment. I just watch, read, and judge what everyone else thinks- meanwhile I’m in the “safety” of not being judged/ argued against openly. Screw that. It’s like point two of the video, I’m like displaying a mask, I’m never displaying who I am, or what I think about. Openly in this arena of thought. Yeah… it’s easy to be the critic on the sidelines, while dreaming about being the gladiator in the arena. Here I am. Finally, making the dream real.

What i want to see more of is authentic charlie. I really like listening to you talk about your real experiences rather then analyzing other people, as its hard to have the same insights about the internal state of other people, and i think thats where people's demeanor and behaviors reallg come from Like for example i enjoyed this video because you talked about the ways you grew and the lessons you learned, and i think that is really valuable

This was great. And I think you are right in everything you are now "correcting". I think that most things have good and bad parts to them, and they change depending on the situation. That's why you should be always aware and try your best to "be" in every situation, as it might not be as the one you encountered in the past and you should act differently now. Aware, humble, brave and knowing yourself, four pillars I would highlight maybe.

listening and being patient is a major one since I have been trying to be more social and rush into stuff more. but talked to this person who is really shy and I used to be good at being patient but recently been rushing to do things rather than sitting in a moment being patient to let someone take there time I ended up making a fool of myself in front of them since I wasn't patient and listening to what they were saying at that moment.

Leaving this here in case it helps anyone, as someone who's recovered from GAD and a panic disorder. In my experience I'd say #1 isn't great advice for some. "Staying with the fear" sounds good on paper, but actually TRAINS the body to get accustomed to being in a constant state of anxiety and fear, which will sooner or later turn into a full-blown anxiety disorder. Instead, we need to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, to get out of the fight/flight/freeze response as soon as possible. Breathwork is great for this, so is movement-type meditation like taichi and yoga.

Pertaining to your first point, letting the fear wash over you and then deciding if you want to engage, I think most people choose just not to engage, this is the easy way out and an excuse to not push themselves.. Definitely push yourself maybe for a couple years and then try this washing over/decision technique.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:29 🏃‍♂️ *Embrace anxiety by moving towards it rather than fleeing, as it can lead to positive outcomes, but be cautious of reinforcing a habit of running from fear.* 03:59 💔 *Rejection should be felt and acknowledged, as numbing the pain can lead to pursuing relationships where your authentic self isn't accepted.* 06:30 👂 *Deep listening is crucial for fostering intimate connections and building trust in relationships, even though it's often undervalued in our culture.* 08:23 💡 *Be cautious of overreliance on charisma types like conviction, as while they can bring initial success, they may hinder long-term growth without authenticity and listening.* Made with HARPA AI

Women’s super power is being able to socially calibrate. However, guys who say “they know exactly what they’re doing.” Are dead wrong.. their greatest weakness is that they are almost always oblivious to how they come off and how men are truly judging them… use this knowledge men.

  • @kai_johnsonn
    @kai_johnsonnАй бұрын

I find that a lot of the videos are very intense and don't truly represent every day interactions. Some are displays of two extremes, which can appear unattainable to most. This is especially the case when you are emulating behaviour of Hollywood stars who are the epitome of physical attractiveness, combined with the highest of social status. When you are acting in similar ways, people won't respond in the way you see on the TV screen. People admire those who are famous, they don't admire the common man on the street.

Agreed. The examples on here are too outlandish, and honestly performative. All the examples are of actors and singers giving interviews which is about marketing their movies and own brand. The second the cameras turn off, they’re completely different. Less present, less overtly assured, and certainly less confident.

Joe Rogan may not be the greatest example since he's very convinced on vaccines. Conviction is inherently a double-edged sword and never had much appeal to any good critical thinker. As for this video though: it's awesome, absolutely do more.

ok, I have not watched the entire video, but just on the first point, ain't no way building a habit of talking to random people is going to make you start negging your partner when they need space. I understand the connection that was laid out, but I don't buy it, it's too elusory
