Pro chef Saúl Montiel from Cantina Rooftop and home cook Gina are swapping recipes and hitting the kitchen to make tacos. We provided Gina with all the ingredients necessary to make chef Saúl’s gourmet $396 quesadilla recipe, sending only $20 worth of your typical, store-bought stuff back the other way. Chef Saul is such a chill kind of guy, I could listen to him talk about cooking for hours. Gina makes such adorable noises when she's transferring things while cooking. lol

@@Sniperboy5551 TBF most of these videos count all the ingredients. Like they get a $100 bottle of wine for a recipe that only needs a cup - so really the wine cost is $33.

Honestly for Gina to do something very elaborate she went above and beyond! And of course Saul’s chaotic energy and talent was really satisfying. I’ll love to see more of Saul and Gina in the future.

I love that this was Chef Saul's first experience with kimchi! He is such a joy to watch.

Chef Saul is my favorite because he reminds me of my dad so much and is just as smart and funny as him like having exactly the same humor 😂 (I really miss my dad 😢)

I've tried so hard with Kimchi. It's just far too funky for me. I like Marmite, anchovy paste, fish sauce, Miso, yogurt, and every once in a blue moon, a little sauerkraut on a Reuben or a Hebrew National hot dog, but I just can't develop a taste for kimchi, and it seems to be going into everything these days. It reminds me of Southern "Chow Chow," which I also don't like. I can't figure out if I've tried the wrong kinds, or if it's one of those things my taste buds simply do not enjoy.
Love the new chef.. she was great and saul of course is the best..
If anyone has a quick carnita or al pastor taco recipe, please let me know! I doubt I have the ingredients and spices in my pantry, but whatever you think is a staple then I will get it! I have never made tacos before but would love to try a recipe that's more on the simple and easy side 🤗

Sous vide reecirculators are pretty cheap now. You can just throw some bacon in hot water over night and squeeze some oj over the bacon tortillas. ✌
