$248 vs $15 Breakfast Tacos: Pro Chef & Home Cook Swap Ingredients | Epicurious
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Pro chef Saúl Montiel from Cantina Rooftop and home cook Lorenzo are swapping recipes and hitting the kitchen to start the morning right with breakfast tacos. We provided Lorenzo with all the ingredients necessary to make chef Saúl’s over-the-top $248 taco recipe, sending only $15 worth of materials back the other direction. Could our all-star home cook rise to the challenge or did chef Saúl’s breakfast tacos rule the day?

I slightly prefer frank over the other professional chefs, but that's just because of nostalgia/bias, and most of them and entertaining too, just admitting my bias tho.

The fancy recipe are cool, but what really impresses me is what most of the pro-chefs are able to make out of the everyday cheap ingredients. Also, the level of positive energy with both Lorenzo and Saul in the same episode is off the chart.

I love seeing Chef Saul in these videos
I never thought that a simple show idea like this would teach me so much about cooking!! thanks you all! greeting from Brazil!
Lorenzo always brings a smile to my face.
More of these two, they are the most fun and wholesome guys on this channel!
You know what's amazing about this? A Filipino and a Mexican, sharing experiences. Just like in history. ^^
I am going to chef Saul’s restaurant on a trip to NY in a few weeks and I CANT WAIT 😍
I love Lorenzo, he's hilarious and he just jumps right in w/ no fear!!
Chef Saúl is such a humble genius.
Amazing! The 2 best chefs that could’ve been chosen
Lorenzo needs to be allowed to go wild in a grocery store and get whatever he wants, and the chef needs to guess the recipe and make it. He also needs to get instructions
This is probably the best episode 😂. I laughed so much. 😂 Both Lorenzo and Saul are people full of personality. 😂❤ Saul's puns and out of the context humor are so good! 😂
Saul is right; spicy and sweet IS always good together. Lorenzo and Saul make the best duo!
Another video with my favorite professional Chef Saúl ❤
I love this combo, these are great guys
I was just wondering when Saul and Lorenzo were gonna be in another episode - super happy to seem them back together
Chef Saul even nailed the Eggland’s Best ad!
These are actually my two favourite people on this channel. So entertaining.
I adore Lorenzo’s attitude toward everything. He has so much energy that just feels so bright. He’s a goofy dude and I’m here for it
Saul its all about technique and inventive, not just expensive ingredients. I learned a lot from the two preparations
More Saul, please! He's the best thing to ever happen to this channel.
I wanna see Saul vs Frank one day!!! Make it happen please 🙏
Yo my boy Saul ❤! Dang he’s showing his Chef Level 3 skills! He made those $15 look 🔥 😍
Both tacos looked incredible… I must try the hash brown tortilla now.

Saw Lorenzo and Chef Saul on the same thumbnail; dropped everything to watch this video immediately.
I love how Saúl and Lorenzo interact. And it's a treat to see how Saúl used the tortillas for something else, and then made new ones using the potatoes and cheese. Both versions looked superb.
They make a good team. It was nice of Chef Saul to recognize that not everyone likes cilantro.
Best duo ever! I never skip their videos, they're so nice, funny and interesting! Love it!
I can never get tired watching Chef Saul’s cheese trick
delicious!! so proud of Lorenzo for not needing help, but I can't help but miss rose!!
I always enjoy the energy of these gentlemen. Thank you all for the time and effort on making these series.
LOVE this chef combo! ❤ I get excited every time I see one of them in a video but both together is the BEST 💕💕💕
I absolutely love watching chef Saul and Lorenzo
Saul and Lorenzo, what a combo. More please.
Oh I had some good laughs couldn't get better then Lorenzo and saul
I love this video for so many different reasons. The food looks delicious and their humor and personalities are so fun!
I can't believe chef Saúl took sooooo long to get into my life. I can honestly say I love him.
Saul is my absolute favorite in every way.
They are so good together! And Chef Saul is such a great teacher
I love the fact that they both had a great time cooking. It made this a joy to watch! ❤
Saul, even New Mexico would not claim that 😅
Saúl is so wholesome. Such a humble guy.
“Wow!!!! Where?” Is also me having to buy my weekly groceries and hearing the total 😅
The best video this month! I love Saul and Lorenzo 😍😍
Chef Saul saying: "pa la otra tirame un chile" jajaja albuuuur 😂
Saul and Lorenzo! Yay! Twice the fun!
"you know what's coming..... cilantro crema" and then the most beautiful smile! we love Chef Saul!
Saul on the thumbnail = watch immediately
At this point Lorenzo is the pro chef
Lorenzo 🤣🤣🤣🤣 he was like "holiday" sauce! That's what I heard !
You know what's the most important part of the video? Lorenzo did it without the help of Rose!!! Bravo!!!
When Chef Saul grabs sal de gusano and Lorenzo freaks out cuz hes thinks its too much and Saul just calmly said "its not enough" 😂
I love these videos! They bring me joy. 😌
Cilantro macho is the same cilantro as the one with the flat leave. They're not different varieties. Is just that in USA they preffer the mild flavor of the young cilantro plant (flat leave) vs. in latinamerica we prefere the strong flavor of the mature cilantro plant. It's just about the timing of the harvest. When the plant matures, the leaves turn into that spiky shape and get stronger flavor.
These two are my favorite chefs for this!
Y’all always get the best ppl for these vids
I love that when lorenzo is stressing about the mango salsa saul is just roasting the salsa verde

Love them both. More vids featuring Chef Saul and Lorenzo please
Can you imagine if Lorenzo was ever interviewed by Jimmy Fallon? Jimmy: Hello Lorenzo Lorenzo: ahah Jimmy: AHAHAH Lorenzo: _AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH_ Jimmy: *_AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH_* etc
You know those interview or “get to know you’ questions… “if you could have a dinner party with any people from history, who would you invite?” As an introvert, my new answer is Saul and Lorenzo. The food and laughs would be amazing. I would offer the 4th seat to the Rock when he’s in the ATL Area in the hopes he would bring Teramana Anello, which is always sold out here. These 3 extroverts would would perfectly showcase the fact that I am the funniest MF.
