Locomotive Services Limited Class 37 locomotive 37667 aka D6851 in British Rail Green is seen heading north along the west coast main line and through Springs Branch on the hot afternoon of Monday 24th June 2024.
The class 37 was hauling a nice short rake of coaches from Crewe to Carlisle seen running around 30 early here along the slows. I believe there just being moved for storage and all but 1 are ex Caledonian Sleeper stock.
She would get held at Wigan in platform 6 so 2 late Avanti services 9S60 & 1S58 to pass her. That wasn't booked to happen.
Locomotive Services Group added a depot at Carlisle in 2023 to supplement its depots at Crewe and Southall for servicing its ever-expanding fleet of locomotives and tour capabilities.
