Khasi people are really loving and friendly. I was surprised to see these guys who would cheat the travellers. I've shared my experience of how they cheated me in the pinned comment above. You might want to read it to get the context

Bro the village is an remote area, so i believe the prices for the water and edible they charge is quite reasonable as it is that they have to travel to get the goods and earn for their living.

I know its a remote area and what's disturbing is the first shop that charged me twice the cost was connected to the road at the beginning of the trek while the shops throughout the trek charged the regular price. I've shared my experience in the pinned comment above. Feel free to read as it might change your opinion

Rs 30 or 35 is not a big amount.. Don't be in complaint mode.. Locals have to survive and earn their living ..

The best thing about Shillong is there is no communication barriers

The trek is very difficult but its worth because of the beauty of this place. The natural swimming pool is really a soother and the real battle comes on the return trip. Kudos to me for completing double decker, natural swimming pool and rainbow waterfalls in single day from sohra

Awesome video dude. Loved the drone shots. Visited in October 2017 and this just brought back the memories. Should do the rainbow falls. There's also a trek from nongriat to nohkalikai

I just finished the trek and am back.. the guy u spoke at the end of the video Ban, the homestay u stayed is better now.. the guy with loud music is the owner.. I just cant believe u dint go to rainbow falls.. u should have.. anyways the pool was the sealer .. i saw this after i finished my trek.. still.. i didnt buy water from tyrna.. lol.. Need to add.. i did a solo trip and meghalaya is safe for women..

While lots other travel vloggers claim to be backpackers, you're a true back packer.. You go with the flow. This is way more enjoyable and full of content compared to overly edited videos.

We went there last may and stayed in serene homestay. It's a lovely place to stay and though trek to double decker bridge is tiring it's all worth it

There is a cemetary (graveyard) near that second playground you pointed. We were the last one to come back and it was dark. And was so spooky. There was light only in the graveyard as there were no trees.

You should have finished trekking to Rainbow falls, 1hour more from that secret pool, you'll love it when u reached the destination

There are stalls till almost 60% of the track upto Rainbow Falls...some stalls even have brand new fridge.

You should try the double decker root bridge in the monsoon, the whole journey feels like an Amazon trip. As a native, I can tell you that most of the NE and Meghalaya in particular is be better during the monsoon. Good luck with your adventures.

i have been there in 2014.. its amazing.. wats even amazing is the person near the root bridge who provided us food had all the electric appliances.. wats amazing is how he could manage to bring all of those things to that remote place.. and another thing is jungle honey.. its the best thng that i have ever tested.. amazing.

Who is here after flying Beast Fail Vlog??

We started the trek early and were able to trek all the way to rainbow falls and then back again to tyrna. Finished it in 7 hours. It was painful but so worth it.

I'm from Meghalaya n i love your videos and how u discovered yourself without a guide that too to unknown places well done....i think your friend he seemed to be a lil bit unhappy with the trekking and surrounding😂......and the water they have charged u a bit because if they sell at Rs 25 or 30 they still make a good profit I don't know I'm just saying .

Hey just wanted to know whether we can keep our bags at the start of trek somewhere (as I have many bags so I will keep the unwanted things at the start and will carry only imp stuff) Your immediate reply would be helpful as we will heading towards double decker shortly.

There is a parking lot at the start of the trek where you can leave your bags with one of the houses. Locals are very helpful and friendy

Have been their 3yrs ago.with my fit friend who was a ITBP soldier and i reached and returned back to Guwahati. IT is worth it crossing 2mountains . After 5steps used to take rest 😝😛😜

There s any falls in cheerapunji to take a bath or we can just stand and watch only?.. I'm from Chennai we just planned cheerapunji on Aug 12...ur reply helps alot

If you trek down towards the fall you'll find one but not in this season as it's too risky. However, you'll find a few around nongriat. Watch the nongriat video on my channel and you'll get an idea

On the way to rainbow falls you'll find plenty of places to swim

3500 steps are totally worth. Been there last year.. the water was so damn fresh..

Good looking vlog

Dude u missed the best one- the "Rainbow falls". We took a guide for 600 rupees & it was easy to find all the spots with his help, also saves our time. It took almost 7 hours to cover all the spots(single root bridge,double decker bridge, natural swiming pool & Rainbow falls) way to rainbow falls and came back to our car climbing 3500+3500=7000 steps on a single day!

I have been to this place, the real struggle is when one starts the return journey

Been there so many times...took me 45minutes climbing up the steps starting from that newly constructed bridge😂

It's not frustration. It's just disturbing to see these guys cheat. I've had a lot of people who've told me not to visit a particular place because they've had a bad experience or someone's cheated them there. But that doesn't make the place bad nor does it make people at these places bad. This stops a lot of people from visiting such places which is unfair due to these few locals who do not know how bad it could affect tourism in their village.

It costs roughly INR 500-800/Night for the homestay

Too bad u Didn't go in Rainbow falls bro n U will have to continue that path n it will take about 30 minutes to reach the rainbow falls..✌

Hello anyone who has completed the 3500 steps nongrait trek please answer this. I'm a very heavy person who loves to trek and is very good at it but I wanted to know if there are any narrow light bridges that will be there which has weight restrictions or a narrow passage where I cannot fit in? Please reply as soon as possibe thanks in advance

Depends upon when you go, and how tired you're, I went during monsoon and it took me 1:30 hrs from pool.
