DAY SPENT IN A VILLAGE | NARTIANG MONOLITHS DRONE | MEGHALAYA EP - 4

Sana invites me to her family house located in Wahiijer Village of Jaintia Hills in Meghalaya. Since I hadn't planned this trip much, I decided to tag along and on the way to her village, we stopped by at few tourist attractions like the Nartiang Monoliths and some not so known places on the way that allowed me to capture some great drone shots.

Yes the best part about living in northeast is getting to eat organic food. They are just so delicious. Pork and any meat barbeque is a craze for most of the northeasterns especially meghalaya cuz we just love it. Besides living in the countryside in a hilly area where there are lots of waterfalls, rivers, lakes and streams we need abundant proteins to build up our muscles for trekking , hiking there right. I am so blessed to be born in meghalaya. Life is so fun and adventurous there. We also have picnics every now and then due to this reason.

Nar=Human. Tyag = sacrifice. Legend has it that this is where human sacrifice was done in the ancient times. We have no source though.

Everything in this vlog was so pure and beautiful. The host and the village was so hospitable. Wish more people would open up homestay in the villages of Northeast. That is where true beauty lies. ✌️

I'm so proud to let my friends know i come from a matrileneal family. I would never be able to leave my mom and dad and live in a guy's house cuz my friends here from the mainland have lots of stories to tell me about how the daughter-in-law is mistreated and forced to do all the work of the house in a joint family. I know that this not happen in every household but it does happen in mainland india and we cant deny that. I am just so grateful to God that he gave me a chance to look after my parents by letting me be with them even after marriage cuz expecting my brother to look after them would be hard as most guys are not so emotional as compared to girls. Meghalaya is the only state in the whole of India that caries out matrilineal practice and i cant be more glad than that. Missing home so much after watching ur videos!
