hahahah... Oh yea. probably due to language/accent barrier. But people are so nice at this place. This guy went out of his way to drop me to the taxi stand that took about 15 mins of walk and he stayed there till the cab left.

Man I am surprised how u made it to that place with public transports. I am from Assam and have lived in SHILLONG for almost 10years but never had the guts to go there alone. Last time I went to Krangsuri we were like 20people on 10bikes ... Hats off to you bro, u have the guts...

it's the strangers that makes you want to travel alone more and more. I don't think I would enjoy travelling alone without finding strangers who then become either friends or fellow travellers. Its interesting to see people treat you so well in spite of not knowing you enough.

If I visited all places in the same trip, I wouldn't have a good enough reason to visit Meghalaya next time. And I'm definitely not missing going there again.

I use DJI spark which I would say is not the best for mountains or windy places from my experience. I've lost one and crashed the second one twice.

There is a neat public toilet for people who visit this water fall. However, its on the other side and you need to cross the falls to get there.

We are planning to visit this place in june..... Will it be possible to stay in tents during june as monsoon will be started by then...

Yes. It was. Not sure about it now. There are less tents from what the guards told me but there still are.

I don't think anyone can guarantee safety even in cities. If something bad has to happen, it can happen at the best of places. With my personal experience, I believe its safe to travel as a couple and I did meet many couples travelling at most places.

Yes I paid for 2 seats and its fair. What's not fair is only few taxi drivers who were lazy to find more people to share the ride charged double. On my way to Amlrarem the taxi driver laughed at me when I asked him if I have to pay for 2 seats. And then he told me that he's not one of those guys who would ask his passengers to pay double just to save his time. And he's never done that.
