Jason and Lorraine. In 2016 we sold most of our belongings and left the city in southern California to start a small homestead in the mountains of North Carolina. We left the city in search for a more minimal and intentional life. We became passionate about growing our own food and knowing what exactly is in our food after I (Jason) became diagnosed with cancer. Now 8 years in remission we as a family are on a journey to live our passions.
We document our life on KZread videos to inspire others to get out of their comfort zone and not be afraid of change. We started our own online general store where we have available the things we make and use in real life. Thank you for following us on this incredible life changing journey!

Literally one of the best designs for a school bus tiny home conversion that I've seen. Love the way the back bedroom is to the side leaving a little corridor/hallway that adds so much dimension.

Very nice and loved the way you showed the design.
All I can say, as I first pick my chin up off the floor, is WOW!!! This is your finest work so far. They just keep getting better and better. I am so happy for you guys!
A washer /dryer combo and solar panels would also be an excellent addition.😊

Or a foot pedal non electric washer. Yes they are small but I think they are great
I'm in love. I do appreciate a little more of a rustic look to take away from the residential feel but this man's work is always phenomenal. -I just looked at a 30' with my girls and we're getting all the more excited! ❤️
Looks great. Only issue is the shelving is not very practical in several spots when in motion/driving down the road. Either you have to secure everything ahead of time to take your chances that nothing goes flying. Also the "back closest" pole for hanging clothes looks very shallow. I would bring it away from the wall a couple inches. This schoolie really is a pleasant, open layout and has plenty of natural light.
I think this is one of the nicest builds I've ever seen 👍
one of the best. the smooth white surfaces made it feel less cramped and cluttered. PLEASE show it after its been set up as a home and lived in for a few months
I love thissssssss (except i would want seating on both sides) but still amazing! The L shape kitchen is everything!
Love this Bus conversion ! For me, the only thing missing is a washer/dryer & a woodstove. I really like how the bed is to the side rather than the entire back. I love the nick nack shelf up front, the book shelf by the kitchen it's all really awesome. I hope the couple ends up sending in pictures when the bus is completed. Thanks for sharing......

I do think a washer/dryer combo would be nice in a bus. 😊👍
Best one. Hands down the absolute BEST design. Can not convince me otherwise.
Literally one of the best designs for a school bus tiny home conversion that I've seen.
Love the amount of space!! Looks very comfortable. Awesome ideas!!!
I LOVE THIS SET UP! It isnt cluttered!
Holy crap plenty of room for every thing and it speaks House that’s amazing!!!
My favourite bus conversion this year.
You guys are fantastic! I love this other project. Definitely I’m considering doing my bus conversion with you guys!
One of the BEST Bus remodeling jobs I've seen! 💙
You guys do a nice job. I like the hallway next to the window better than through the middle. Now to make the school bus look a little less like a school bus and more like a modern house on wheels.
I really love the layout of this house especially the garage and bathroom
You Blue Ridge guys do really nice work -- especially the woodwork. I never saw a schoolie with a wood entry staircase before. I like the large sink - big enough to hold all of Thanksgiving dinner's dirty dishes. What surprised me most was the two door, under the counter refrigerator. I wanted one like that for my apartment; but no local supplier could come look.
Excellent layout with the bed forward which allows the great closet AND the use of the emergency door in the rear. You all did a great job in the conversion.
As always super beautiful! Love the wood reclaim. That says home. ❤️👍😎
I agree!! I'm currently researching floor plans and done so for during the last year.. Truly BA
Great job, looks livable with comfort. Love Love the music
I’m from CA too just relocated to TN ya’ll inspire me sooo much. I love life here in TN.
looks beautiful, love the warmth of the wood, and brightness of the white ceiling and walls. very nice! Thanks for sharing!
You guys do some out standing work unbelievable work so good I love love love your work
What is the website to get you guys to make me one? I love the design. I went to Jeff's website but its private. I'd lkle to see more of your work. Thanks
Wow, that is an amazing design. Beautiful, the lay out is awesome!
Great design! We are building a 30' skoolie and it is so nice to see a different layout than the standard galley!! Thank you for the inspo!!
Nice! I Love these guys work! They always find an interesting way to transition from one area to another with a twist! It must be fun coming up with ideas
Totally sweet conversion! 👏❤👍

Fantastic work as always, guys! ❤️👍
An amazing layout and finish.
great bus layout it will turn heads on the road cheers guys ans well done
Wow this looks amazing! Fantastic job!
Nice! Some really great ideas. Excellent space management.
3 things to keep in mind when buying a bus for this type of thing: 1.) Bring a tape measure because some buses only have an interior height of 5'10", which one may consider getting a different model, or perhaps extending the roof for BOTH headroom and a sufficient amount of insulation. 2.) Check the length of the bus, because in certain states a bus(or any vehicle or total length of vehicle with trailer) that measures over 30 ft., it's required that the driver must posses a CDL. ...and 3.) After running into this issue I decided to change my living & storage format. Imagine your driving your tiny home-vehicle and it's in-need of repair. So you take your vehicle/home into a garage and they inform you that they'll need to keep the vehicle overnight(or longer) to get the part for the job or the job is taking particularly long. Where do you stay now? ...they're not going to let you stay in the vehicle during the time it's in the shop. So what I do now, is use a van to sleep in, while I haul a trailer for the rest of my stuff. But I also have the trailer built to-where I can sleep in it, IF my vehicle has to spend the night(or longer) in a mechanic's shop. ...just something to consider ;)

Your CDL statement is incorrect. Some commercial made RV's are over 40' long and over 26,000 Lbs and no CDL is required.
@disneyworld2928

Nop , you should park your car somewhere safe where you could let your home sit on a land, then drive the car only to the shop ( after all, it is only 2 days right?!)
@bentleyharden9619

@@RonsClassicRVs Right on! 26,000 Gross is the DOT limit, but there are exceptions for private vehicles. Some states require it for air brakes.

If you register it as a motorhome, some of which are over 40 ft you don't need a CDL
I love this one! You guys are rocking the woodwork. The drop down table gives lots of options. Ya’ll put personality in your work! 💜
Beautiful job, you are very talented!!
I would have to have an L-kitchen too . Its really done nicely.
Better in so many ways than a commercial RV. The kitchen shelves (above the kitchen counter) need a lip or stuff will fall out of it when driving on a rough road. Otherwise, great use of space.
We have drawn and redrawn potential floorplans for our skoolie and this one is almost exactly what we have! So exciting to be able to see something so similar in real life! Some differences we have in our skoolie are: 1) We have a child and are planning on more but we co-sleep, so in the back we'll have a toddler murphy bed that folds down flush to the edge of our queen. The fold up space will be kids play space under murphy bed. We also won't be able to access our garage from inside (not sure if i'll regret this or not). 2) Woodstove with storage under behind the driver seat. 3) We have a washer and dog kennel space under the queen bed in the back. 4) Overhead storage above queen instead of peg board 5) And i'm hoping to find a little RV size tub for the kids. But otherwise same exact layout! So excited to start our build! I think it's gonna work really well for us. And I'm trying to decide if I really need a mini sink in the bathroom or not.
Amazing design. I love the stain color you use. I use it on my shelves I make. Closet in the back amazing.
Just beautiful!
Wow!! Amazingly Beautiful! Such GREAT JOB!
i love the floor plan very functional
my 3800 international is a 71 passenger, I'm thinking about just 3 rooms living room/ kitchen, bath with shower and master bedroom. I'm in idea phase and removing stopsign, school bus decals and subbing out yellow lenses in place of red on top. it's a dt466 allison auto with less than 130,000 miles and it's even a blue bird. flying the bird or birds the word in bus conversations!
This is actually my favorite skoolie layout I’ve seen to date - or one of them Bevause I’ve seen sooo many. Love it!
Absolutely fantastic. Like a dream come true!
Absolutely stunning - I would only add - somewhere - maybe in the back of the bus - a washer and dryer. Love the separation between the living area and the bathroom/nightime area.
Yet another beautiful job!
I've watch a few of your videos and your work is stunning! Wish i could biy one for myself, thanks for sharing, it gives me something to dream for
I know it was their choice but they sure devoted a ton of room just for sleeping! Anyway I love all the wood and the pegboard shelves!
I love looking at your work guys... beautiful job
You guys. This is gorgeous. You done a fabulous job.
This bus is INCOMPREHENSIVELY BEAUTIFUL. I figured this was 4 a single couple. Best of luck and safe travels 2 the owners.

Great layout!
LOVE this layout!
Love it!
That bathroom is great & bedroom ❤
The best school bus conversion ever. Being a retired school bus driver and camper you never get rid of the urge to drive a bus. I so want my own and surely would want you to build it. How did all this coast and who finds the buses in good running condition.?👍🏽👍🏽

I checked their site and they start around $35,000.
Nice work and design.
Great work as usual👍🙋🏼
Very nice job guys! The camera work was also satisfying. We got to see everything! May I suggest that you start using some sanded 'frosted' plexiglass sliding doors on your cabinets. Would look great with wood, and would keep stuff inside instead of open cubbies.
Wow!! Just insane!! Great design
Beautiful!
